Re: Talking Point: What's Your Switch Game Of 2021 So Far?

LastSonofTennessee

Monster Hunter Stories 2 is actually the only 2021 Switch game I've played so far, so calling it my favorite is a little meaningless. But I do really like it. It has most of what I liked from the first game and fixed most of the problems I had. I haven't finished it, so I may decide it ends up getting to tedious, but thus far I love it.

Re: Nintendo Reminds Us Pokémon Diamond And Pearl Remakes Are Coming To Switch

LastSonofTennessee

It's funny, because three months ago I would have said it was a certainty that we would get a Pokemon Direct by now. I really expected one before E3 and when that didn't happen (and Pokemon was completely absent from E3), I figured we'd get one later in June or July. I'm not complaining; it's just odd. It's been so long since we got any new footage of the Sinnoh Remakes or Legends and they both come out relatively soon. (And let's not forget that we haven't heard a peep from Detective Pikachu Switch in 2 years.) I get that the Sinnoh Remakes are Remakes so there isn't much new to show, but you'd think they'd want to show us something. And Legends is a game we still don't even know exactly what it is yet. It's just weird they've been so quiet. The only thing I can think of is that they didn't want to overshadow Pokemon Unite.

Re: The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Brings Long-Awaited Games To Switch This July

This is exciting; I just recently replayed SoJ and made me really want to play more Ace Attorney games; and these games always seemed very interesting with their own twist on the formula. The only thing I don't like is that it's coming out in July--the same month as Monster Hunter Stories, my most anticipated game of this year. I mean, I know that's a weird thing to complain about, but still...

Re: Talking Point: Which Old Game Series Would You Like To See Revived?

LastSonofTennessee

Series to revive: Star Tropics. It was such an interesting premise with a unique atmosphere and fun (if dated) gameplay. I'd love to see it revived and since it's so obscure, it would be like having a new IP without having to come up with something new.

Series to die: does it have to be Nintendo? Because if not, I'd say Jewel Quest. There are already more of those games than the world needs. For a Nintendo series, I guess I'd say Paper Mario. It's not a franchise I care about and if it was gone, maybe all the controversy would die down.
