Re: Pokémon Fans Get '#GameFreakLied' Trending As Sword And Shield Drama Intensifies Yet Again

@Ashunera84
... I didn't use the word "all" anywhere in my post. I also did not generalize, I specifically said "almost" so everyone wasn't included. This is to say the majority of posts I've seen have been that way. Your post is ironic because it's saying you want people to stop being a mob chorus and listen to what others have to say, but you're responding to my post, which is me, someone who thinks Pokemon is being lazy, saying I've not seen almost anyone refuting it.

@Galenmereth I don't agree fully, seeing as how the only issues aren't with the lag and such, and you can find many other things with the trailers and datamine, but this is a fair stance.

@DTFaux I definitely don't condone harassing people, I don't get why anyone would go to that level. (although you can argue that people who defend Pokemon have been harassing some people criticizing Pokemon by ganging up on their posts and making fun of them, but that's not something I want to argue.)
I personally don't care very much about the Pokedex, so maybe my opinion doesn't matter, but I've personally seen a lot of people way too passionate and toxic on both sides. I've felt like Pokemon started to get lazy since after gen 5 (starting with XY I mean), but it wasn't a popular opinion to have until recently. I've been watching for years as everyone culted behind Pokemon for everything, and people, even fairly well followed Pokemon youtubers, would call out random people in their videos for daring to think anything could be wrong with perfect pokemon. I think pokemon has been lowering in quality, and even more so since their apps, they seem to have very little passion for this. Let's not forget they've been working on a few apps right beside this.
I've seen people say that the dex is just what started this, and I agree with that. Whether the critiques are justified or not is up to interpretation, but imo GF is long overdue for some criticism, because it seems to me like they think they can do whatever they want and people will still buy it. Which is still true. So they least the fandom can do is give some critique.

Is it just me or do people defending the game have almost nothing constructive to say? I've seen endless comments insulting people for have critique, or saying useless things like "don't like it don't buy it" and that they're not real fans. Fans can have critique.. fans want the game to be good... Why would someone who doesn't care about the game even notice things like this? These aren't good arguments. If you don't notice that there's been a drop in passion and quality in a game you love this much, then maybe you should question if YOU'RE the real fans.

@Sithra The loud minority is sick of Fates. We do not hear the opinions of people who are quiet. And there are many people who still like Fates. In the CYL polls, yes, a non-fates character won overall, but in the top 100 result for both polls, Fates and Awakening have the most characters listed. FEH listens to the results of that poll, so it's no surprise they keep using those games, while making the same top characters from the other games more alts. But that is not my point. My point is that this month as a whole was very lazy for FEH, so it's no surprise that their revenue was weak. Very few events, no seasonal, two 'new character' summons that didn't have new characters, and a legendary hero that is, again, not a new character. I do agree with you that they need to change the game in a big way, as it's getting easy for people to get tired of it. And I also agree that this power creep is awful. But I believe the problem with this month was more from the extreme lack of effort compared to usual. Which, imo, seemed to be stalling for book 3, for whatever reason.

Everyone is quick to blame the Fates alts for this issue. I think the problem is more on FEH's extreme lack of effort in November. Basically nothing happened, and all they did besides the Fates summon was focus on their OCs, the other summon they had is the first summon to only have TWO characters in it. And I personally skipped all the dialogue in forging bonds because I don't care about those characters. Say what you want about the Fates banner but at least it had effort in it's concept, a new character, and a tempest trial. After that banner, the rest of the month until now was boring, I've hardly even opened the game this month.
