Honestly though my favorite design of the DS family was the matte finish DSi. I wish they had made a 3DS xl with that finish, and shape. Would have been dope
Curse of the moon 1 & 2 were great, and I can honestly see how this game is their spiritual successor. The weakest part of this game is the story. I understand that this was the team that worked on Gal Gun, but I think a darker more serious tone fits the setting of the game more. The fan service elements seem to detract from the over all feel of the game. The game play is great however. Simple and provides a challenge. The player change gimmick is well executed. So much so that during boss fights you'll find yourself switching characters and sub weapons on the fly to meet a specific boss action.
I agree, at first I thought it was a good move for the switch to have a more open Indi dev scene, but now I'm not so sure. It definitely helped them compete with steam, especially since they got things rolling before the Deck came out. But as you say, now there is an oversaturation of content and 99% is garbage. It's like a repeat of the VG market crash in the 80's. They gotta bring back that Nintendo Seal of Approval hard.
@Joe-b ah, yes I understand. But to be fair to Nintendo, I think their main IPs have not strayed very far down that road. Which is why I'm afraid that once Miyamoto is gone, there will be one less barrier to stop that trend.
Back when the N64 came out, you could pay up to $70 for a game when they first came out. It was only around the end of the N64 era that the standard $50 seemed to set in. Also keep inflation in mind. $70 back then was worth more than it is now.
I agree wholeheartedly with this article. I have both and play both. My switch lite just feels so much better to play. The Deck is powerful for sure and I can play a wider variety of games, but the battery doesn't last as long and its BIG!
Whether or not the statement from the president of Blizzard is telling the truth, the article does raise the question of dragging politics into everything. It seems like Blizzard is saying "When you compete and play our games, leave your politics at the door."
@HappyMaskedGuy I understand your frustration, but if we follow the "guilt by association" logic, eventually we will all not be able to enjoy anything. I'm sure that some of your favorite games were developed by people who hold different opinions than you do and some of those opinions you may even consider immoral. I don't agree with what Blizzard did with regards to a gamer's post about China. Refusing to play their games is a valid response, but Nintendo Life's main purpose is discussing Video Games not politics.

BotW... even if you don't like it, you can't deny it was a grand slam opener for the Switch

I'm not disagreeing with you, but how so?

When he's gone Nintendo will most likely change, and for the worst I fear.

I still love both though
