Honestly, I wish they would've stuck with the 3D platform game. This game has some of the most annoying level design ever. Collecting those coins and then dying at the end of the level is the worst, because you have to start over and grab them again. And it's always from a cheap death too, like a pit you didn't know was filled with spikes, or an enemy you didn't see until the last second. Not to mention Max himself moves like a tank and can't jump too high. And worse it's 9 dollars, which is way to much for a game like this.

I'm all for challenging games like Meat Boy, but this game can be cheap and annoying. I agree with SteveW on that I would've given this a 6 or 7. Such a disappointment. Should've gotten Pushmo instead. :/

Now people are saying the camera in Mario Galaxy was worst then this game...Now I can't take some of you seriously anymore.

The camera in the first game wasn't perfect, but it didn't cause deaths and was tolerable. The camera in Galaxy 2 has the most perfect camera out of all the platformers I've played.

Nope. There's plenty of games (along with tv shows and movies for that matter) I loved as a kid that I have gone back to play/watch recently and I found that sucked. Most notably the Sonic franchise. Examples like Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Riders and Sonic 1 (didn't suck just was bored). Nostalgia doesn't cloud my mind.

I agree with Mully. Just because the game has a linear map system doesn't mean that hub worlds are dead. For future games I hope they combine Galaxy 2's hub with 64's. A big open world to explore and interact with characters, but all the levels in one place so you can boot up the game and start conquering levels immediately.
