@C7_ Maybe not but the failure of a home console starts the downward spiral into obscurity. People who purchased the Wii U may not be so confident in buying the next round of Nintendo home consoles if it were to fail.
Yeah pretty sick of hearing that, I would much rather play my Nintendo games alongside the great third party releases, rather than have to purchase a PS4/Xbox or PC :/
Excellent, It was bittersweet to see the Panzer Dragoon successor being released on a console I will never own, but who knows, hopefully this Wii U release will be something similar...hmmm a rail shooter on a Nintendo console, Starfox per chance?
I really want Nintendo home consoles to be how they used to be circa N64 era, with the translucent myriad of colours, it made the controllers and systems very personal and also collectible.
Yup, after seeing the last console of the next gen revealed, I was really disappointed with both Sony and MS consoles, we are moving further away from what it's supposed to be about...the games! I'm fed up with online multiplayer, Kinect and The Playstation pad which should have gone out with square wheels. I decided straight after the MS conference to go online and get the ZombiU premium pack from GAME
@Frapp That's not quite true, there are a number of Rare staff that have been there through it all. Gregg Mayles for instance has been there since 92 and was instrumental in the creation of Donkey Kong Country, Project Dream (which later became Banjo-Kazoooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day. Lousie Ridgeway, Paul Cunningham and Huw Ward also still at Rare from the early days.
It's interesting to note that these guys have been rewarded with their loyalty and are now the head of their relevant department in order to blood the new talent and encourage the Rare ethos. I still think Rare can release quality games and I look forward to hearing about the new games they are working on...even if it is on an Xbox :-S

Re: First Impressions: Super Mario 3D World
I'll be pre-ordering this as soon as it gets a release date. Can't really beat Mario games for fun. its pretty much a guarantee really.
Re: Review: Star Wars Episode I: Battle for Naboo (Nintendo 64)
Damn I miss the N64 era. Gaming and the future of gaming was an exciting time, when you look at the next gen there is nothing but cynicism.
