The Bloodstained: Bloodstained edition "announcement" from the Ritual of the Night Kickstarter was hilarious: A $999 edition that is literally packaged in a bag of IGA's blood.
Seriously, guys, complaining that Waluigi isn't playable- even as a joke- has gotten beyond old. Fortunately it wasn't brought up in the main body of the review.
Picking up my copy either tonight at the Gamestop release event or tomorrow right when they open depending on how things go after work. So hyped!
I found it started off pretty good, then just got too slow and repetitive to be worth bothering to have to start all the way from the beginning due to no continues. A bit of a disappointment in the end, tbh.
@wazlon It might be better with multiple people playing at once. As I said on Twitter, it has enough appeal to get you to start playing, but not much to keep you playing.
@Stu13 Runbow thankfully still has a lot of appeal. Even after 100%ing it, multiplayer is where it's at.
I started off enjoying this but ultimately ended up hating it. Once you hit Wave 50 you're basically hosed if you can't keep a fishbowl shield and the fake difficulty just spikes: Too many enemies without enough firepower to keep them down. One bad draw on power-up options can royally hose you. And the lack of continues is simply a poor design choice this day and age.
My initial impressions after trying it out last night were pretty much the same: gorgeous visuals and environments, fantastic music, but the controls hurt the gameplay a bit.
I enjoyed the first one enough to warrant a 100% run on the PS4 version and to get the 3DS Theme. Overall it was above-average and took a little bit to really hit its stride.
This one had some clever mechanics. Sadly it also created a lot of unwinnable situations that forced a suicide or Start Over if the player makes a mistake.

Re: Review: Beyond Blue - Echoes Of Endless Ocean In This Noble Effort That Never Quite Gels
Yeah, played through the PSN version a couple of weeks ago. Ultimately a nice little distraction that was completely done in 4 hours.

Re: Guide: The Best Super Mario Games, Toys And Merchandise To Spend Your Gold Coins On
I took the headline literally and first thought the list was of potential rewards purchasable with the My Nintendo Gold Coins. XD
Re: Random: Hideki Kamiya Asks Which Of His Characters You'd Like To See In Smash Bros.

Of course. Love Picross.
Re: Nintendo Seems To Be Deleting Super Mario Maker Levels Without Explanation Or Warning
There are a lot of garbage levels out there, but the worst are definitely the ones that are hard for all of the wrong reasons.

Re: Asteroid Challenge Is Bringing Classic Arcade Action To The Wii U eShop
Right after Near Earth Objects's release.
Re: Review: Near Earth Objects (Wii U eShop)
Haven't played a good Asteroids game in a long time. May well pick this one up.
Re: Review: The Perplexing Orb (Wii U eShop)
@wazlon I actually did play that. While I did enjoy it when I played it, it didn't feel as memorable.
Re: Review: The Perplexing Orb (Wii U eShop)
I still have yet to find anything similar that's as enjoyable as the original Marble Madness.

Re: Question Danger?
This one was a toughie, but it can be won via "Slow and steady wins the race," approach.
