"The Game Console: A Photographic History from Atari to Xbox" is a great coffee table book with loads of high quality photos of classic and current consoles. It's a great study for how the technology and aesthetics

Re: Random: Nintendo Features Sony-Exclusive Detroit: Become Human Actor In New Promo Video

GreenMonkie

@Rafke Sort of, the actor who portrayed Sony's VP of Everything, Kevin Butler also did a commercial for Bridgestone tires where he was seen using the Wii Wheel while playing Mario Kart. That commercial went viral as the internet collectively jumped on the irony. Sony sued him for trademark infringement and he wasn't allowed to appear in any other videogame related commercial for two years. Kevin Butler has been missed ever since but I still see Jeremy Lambert pop up on things every now and then so he seems to be doing fine.

Re: Guide: Pokémon GO Pokédex: #351 - 400

GreenMonkie

How about instead of just posting an easily Googled list of Pokèmon that just has generic stats based off the original game, you actually put some effort into a list that includes things specific to Pokèmon GO, like which one are regionals and where can they be found, which ones are not actually in the game yet, which ones can be shiny? You know, maybe put a little thought into why this list should matter on your site, as opposed to just ripping it from somewhere else.

Re: Cave Story+ Will Be Receiving Classic Graphics in a Free August Update

GreenMonkie

Yay! While I dig the updated graphics, I also kinda miss the old school pixel art ones. Probably won't look great on the HDTV but it should be fine in handheld mode. I really love all the options for the different musical arrangements from throughout the history of different releases and to have that for the graphics too is just peachy.

Re: Talking Point: Important Features Yet to be Revealed for the Nintendo Switch

"Dual screen systems are out, of course, ..."

Why are we assuming this? The WiiU did DS emulation with the ability to put both screens on one display. Why couldn't you do the same thing with the Switch? Also, I still want to see Virtual Boy come to the 3DS. Wario Land, Galactic Pinball, Mario Tennis, Mario Clash, Teleroboxer, Red Alarm, Vertical Force and Panic Bomber need to be seen again in all their crimson glory.

Re: NES Classic Edition Sold 196,000 Units in US Launch as Pokémon Sun and Moon Set Records

GreenMonkie

@IronMan28 It actually makes the most sense. If you were to count them as one game, you wouldn't be accounting for the people who bought both Sun & Moon vs people who only bought Sun or Moon. If you combined them as one game, you'd basically be saying, people loved this game so much, they bought it twice. But if it had been sold as only one game, the numbers would surely be much lower than would be reflected in combining the sales of two different carts.
