@Not_Soos actually everybody at Rare was burned out and leaving - the geniuses who made all that wonder for the N64 were leaving Rare - Microsoft bought the IP essentially, which is why they coughed up the abomination that is Perfect Dark Zero and then you never saw that spinning R again

The Virtual Console was never going to save us - I say this as someone who has purchased Nintendo games since SNES - but there needs to be a healthy ROM scene coexisting with new developments for purchase

@Spiders TBH the Wii VC was crazy overpriced IMO - I had like 30 Wii Games total (including VC) and I have 105 switch games and am looking forward to three from the recent direct!

I disliked the wii VC and people missing it is always weird to me

@WaveBoy I’m curious if you played Dusk - I didn’t have any issues with it (I loved it actually) but I know multiple people who felt motion sickness with N64 Graphics at 60 FPS

@Eddyson instead of having yearly releases and extended corporate tentacles FromSoftware has been working on EldenRing since 2017 and the company’s valuation will almost certainly increase after a successful launch of highly anticipated software that is both a new IP and a collaboration with a mega-celebrity (George RR Martin) so until the dust starts to clear on that around Q4 this year I don’t think the shareholders would approve a sale unless it’s a sparkling big one

@the_beaver next year will definitely be a behemoth but I have a hard time seeing the PS2 ever being dethroned - they sold it for years at $50 price point
