It stands for we should finally stop milking our fanbase while sit on our mountain of 1oz gold coins and bars. Seriously though, I am not even hyped and barley care. They have milked this cow way to long. TOTK did me in, I don't Fanboy any corpo, Csuite or otherwise. The game is fine, the performance and Resolution (not graphics) are not. The Tegra when it launched in the Shield TV which I bought (both pro versions) at launch and still use was awesome... In 2015. We are finally getting a update to Android 12 at least.
Now if it is waiting on some awesome DLSS tech or something, so be it. There is stuff out there saying it's been ready for some time though. I give them a small pass for the chip shortage but that didn't effect Nintendo let alone Nvidia to much. It's hard to say but they should have stuck to this year not 2025.
Well the world is just. I won't take the time to respond to a few messages I will simply state my personal opinion. Is the Zelda Community toxic? I don't really know, I haven't really paid much attention as the actual GOTY awards show baffled me a bit. I have a ton of hours in the Baldur's Gate franchise and it's always been a good game. What had bothered me is 98% of the players and therefore voters didn't even know what the game was until it was accidentally PS5 exclusive and got over hyped for that fact alone. Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 sold about 4 million in lifetime sales combined. Yes BG3 is a big, ambitious game and definitely builds upon 2 as it did to 1. I just wish BG3 had different publicity at launch so I could genuinely believe the end result. I have played both thoroughly and I truly believe believe as far as replayability, innovation and broad appeal TOTK should have won. Only thing I can say negative about it, is it should have waited till Switch 2 or whatever they call it came out to drop it.
@nintendr0ne yeah I dunno, I agree with most that but definitely your alone on resolution. TOTK could have been GOTY for the next 5 years. It's reviews were way to kind. No I absolutely don't need nor want native 4k by any means. Definitely good upscaling tech or I'm out of the next one. Couldn't see fish in the water bugs on trees nothing BOTW looked and ran way better. That being said the other thing ruining the game which you did mention Framerates. Technically this is all pointless as it's all a given thed have to be on par with XB1X and PS Pro. The catalog of Nvidia chips right now are great. What they need to do is make sure we have access to our games especially the later games such as TOTK and get free upgrades I paid my dues at 70 bucks.
@dont_simp_for_them Exactly! There always has to be some comment like that makes you wonder why they say anything at all. That can literally happen in a bag with heavy traveling the case splits are technically a defect of sorts the metal can't handle the heat caused by old thermal paste and heavy usage. My fan is on the fritz new paste helped a little but barley on my launch switch the V2 has fared better for now but give it time. Pro has to happen I saw a comment of someone mentioning a year till switch 2 so they will wait ha they have literally NO interest in making a true successor yet not while this one is still selling so well.
That was and is hands down the DUMBEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD. I pray the industry leaders don't actually listen to this guy cause I love taking BOTW with me wherever I go don't get me wrong but when I'm home it's running on my TV with a pro controller same with every other AAA or first party title. Now for some reason Diablo and castlevania games I love playing handheld but that's about it.
