@ThumperUK. If your wanting to downlaod Axelay go to the wii system settings and change your region to either Australia or New Zealand and you'll be able to download Axelay. I was mad that Konami didnt release Axelay on the European VC until someone on NintendoLifes forums gave me this info for us Europeans to download Axelay. Come on Nintendo we havent had a wii vc title in ages us Europeans. Im still waiting for Mega Man X1!!

What a mess!! Makes the 3DS look like a right hulking piece of equipment. Nintendo you've messed up big time! Nintendo when you come to releasing the new model of the 3DS with 2 analogue nubs I want one for free! You can have your free 20 VC games and give all early adopters like myself of the 3DS a new model when released. I've always stood by Nintendo but after the Wii, 3DS and the upcoming Wii-U, I dont think i'll bother with you anymore if things dont rapidly change.

Nintendo haven't even got a clue how to manage the e-shop. No new 3DS VC this week again and how long ago is it since we've seen a Wii VC release? The 10 free games we got last week were just okay but there really wasn't a excuse not to have the save feature already up and running with them, it surely cant be that difficult to implement. Makes playing games like Metriod and Zelda unplayable due not been able to save your quest. It's seriously going down hill for Nintendo. The 3DS is flopping badly and I can see the Wii-U doing the same.

These are the games i'd like to see get released on the 3DS's VC for the NES. I know most are highly unlikely due to licensing issues and etc but it would be nice if Nintendo made a effort to release other games like these on the 3DS VC, i'm sure they can. I already own most of Nintendo's 1st party games due to still owning my NES, plus downloadiong the ones I hadn't off of the Wii's VC. I just hope Nintendo doesn't just release all the games that are on the Wii's VC for NES straight over the the 3DS VC.

Could this be the fall of Nintendo? I really hope not! With what I've read and saw of the Wii U at E3 my impressions of it aren't very optimistic. I think Nintendo should pull the plug on the Wii U get back in the drawing room and come up with something else and to start listening to their loyal fans. I'm hoping the price drop of the 3DS do start bringing sales back up, as I do think its a great piece of hardware which I'm really enjoying at the moment. Its just a lot of the 3rd party developers are still really unsure about the Wii U and no real big players have come up to the front saying there's big name franchises coming to the system, also how Nintendo handles their online services are terrible. These are dark times indeed for Nintendo and I think if Nintendo don't radically shake themselves we could see another Sega incident where Nintendo become a publisher only.

I like the look of the Game & Watch Gallery, may purchase this come Thursday but where in the hell are our Wii VC games? Been like 6 weeks and still no Wii VC release here in Europe. Come on Nintendo lets see some Wii VC releases next week as well as some Game Gear games on the 3DS VC.

"Happy Birthday Sonic"! Can't believe it's 20 years since the blue blur was released upon us. I'll always remember the first time booting up sonic on the Mega Drive and Sonic running across the screen followed by the Sega sign, then pressing start on the title screen and hearing the Green Hill Zone music. Classic!!

Also everyone go onto YouTube and type in "MegaDriver Green Hill Zone", check the guy out playing a metal version of Green Hill Zone and check out that AWESOME guitar! Cant believe he managed to turn a Mega Drive into a actual guitar lol. Pure genius!

Whooo Hoooo!! Can't wait to get my hands on Double Dragon tomorrow and I may give Radar Mission a go. Now Nintendo please release Kirby's Dream Land next week and hurry up with getting Mega Man X on the European Wii VC.

Actually I think I may have been a bit harsh on Nintendo there, as they are releasing Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time here in the UK tomorrow. Which will be landing through my post box tomorrow . So I see why Nintendo may not want to put a couple of 3DS VC games out.

Like a lot of you have said on your posts, it is disappointing that Nintendo haven't released some of the content America has on their e-shop. I was hoping for the 3D trailers and was hoping for a few more VC games to be released like either the 3D version of Xevious, Kirby's Dream Land and Mega Man, which are all released on the Japanese e-shop or Radar Mission which is on the American e-shop. Surely Nintendo could have at least chucked in one of those games as well as Donkey Kong on the European e-shop. Then again its Nintendo where talking about and how they love to screw us Europeans about.

I've had the same problem with the charge light not going out once fully charged, hopefully when I charge it again after this update, it will all be sorted.

Same here, i'm hoping Kirby's Dream Land will be released here in Europe for the 3DS VC today. Fingers crossed!!

Need to get this released on the 3DS VC!! Though I highly doubt it due to who owns all the licences and etc to the Bill And Ted franchise

Its good that Nintendo have released games like Alleyway on the 3DS VC. Ok they might not be perfect games but its the memories and nostalgia it brings back playing those games like you say. I downloaded Tennis here in the UK which to me is a brilliant little game. Also I'm with you on that one about Nintendo releasing some more classics especially Balloon Kid and Golf would be good too. Now for the 3rd party titles lets have Mercenary Force, Fortress Of Fear, Bionic Commando, Kid Dracula and Bolder Dash to name just a few.

As soon as I saw this was getting released in Europe for the 3DS Virtual Console, I had to download it. Brings back fond memories playing this in the early nineties on the original Gameboy. Its just a fun game to pick up and play after all these years and having Mario cameo as umpire is brilliant.

I'm not suprised none of the 3DS games are making the top 40 charts. Nintendo have done a useless job of marketing the 3DS and games here in the UK. Fingers crossed that over the coming months with Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time, Resident Evil Mercenaries and the e-shop all getting released here in the UK over June and July, things will start to pick up, as I think the 3DS is a awesome piece of kit and has lots of potential.

Nice review and worthy of a 10/10. I'm just playing the DS version at the moment but will be downloading it straight away this Friday when it's released here in the UK on the VC, so I can play it on the big screen.

SEGA if your going to be releasing 20 games by next March, then at least make one of those releases Sonic CD. Why this game has never been re-released before is a mystery as it's one of Sonic's best ever platform games. Instead of releasing the same Sonic games on every new piece of hardware that comes out like you have done for the past few years.

The DS version of Chrono Trigger does have cutscenes in it, same as the PS1 version.

Roll on Friday!! Can't wait to get my hands on this game. Also can't believe Nintendo are releasing this a week after we got a VC release here in Europe, we usually have a release ever 2 weeks, not that i'm complaining at all. Thankyou Nintendo for releasing this so soon.

I'm really glad they released this game on the VC, was one of my first games I purchased with my SNES. The game still holds up really well today and brings back some memories. The only niggle I have with this game is the controls aren't the tightest they could be for a platformer but it's only a small niggle and the soundtrack is a absolute classic right from beginning to end.

@Bass_X0 I might have got it wrong but I thought developers like Konami and etc gave the rights to Nintendo to publish their old SNES games like Axelay in which ever regions on the VC they saw fit. Like the upcoming release in Europe of Chrono Trigger on the VC, it was Nintendo who released a statement saying "Nintendo" would be releasing the game on the VC in Europe and not SquareEnix. So that to me sounds like Nintendo has the decision in which games get released in certain regions and not the original game developers, so if that is the case like I said earlier, Nitendo need to get their act together!

@Vinsanity. Ye I also wish Nintendo would get their act together and start releasing games simultaneously worldwide on the VC. I'm still waiting for them to release Axelay here, which you Americans have had for ages on the VC. I can see this also becoming a problem on the 3DS e-shop too. Nintendo should start listening to there fans, as this is the kind of stuff which isn,t helping them at all and making everyone else frustrated. Come on Nintendo get your act together!!

I can't wait to download this tomorrow, it was one of the first games I got for my Super Nintendo along with Super Mario World. I never managed to complete back in the early 90's so looking forward to having another shot at it.

Ye it's good to start hearing about the 3DS's virtual console, one of the main reasons I invested in a 3DS. These two games sound quite intresting from Jaleco, lets hope that they finally get this service up and running this month, cant wait for some Legend Of Zelda Links Awakning action.

Hmm! Looks as though it could be quite a intresting game this, I may purchase it come Friday. Though I was hoping for either Chrono Trigger or Mega Man X to be released this week.

I sure hope we Europeans get Mega man X soon. Never had a chance to play the X series of Megan Man games, so I'm highly looking forward to it hopefully getting released here, so I can see what all the fuss is about.

Good review corbie! This is the first time i've ever played Final Fantasy III/VI and boy am I impressed! Final Fantasy VII was always my favourite as it was the first time i'd ever played a Final Fantasy game and a RPG. Now after getting a good quater of the way through Final Fantasy III/VI i'm starting to think that this just pips Final Fantasy VII, though I will let you know as soon as i've completed it, if it is better. I highly recommend downloading this game to anyone who has played this game before and to newcomers like myself.

I hope this is true! Though it maens the game must have been translated for a release here in Europe, as it will be un-playable otherwise. Just hope this isn't a April fools joke?
