I don't really get why European VC releases have to have five seperate languages for each game.
I understand the multiple region thing, but the whole idea just seems kinda rediculous (the five languages in one game thing, not the multiple regions).
I haven't played this game yet, though I will soon. By the way, is this game called Ogre Battle because your characters are ogres, or because you fight ogres? XP
I always find it weird how it seems that some titles that do amazing in Japan and still are amazing in America usually have barely any copies made in America. Just look at Panzer Dragoon Saga, probulay one of the best RPGs of all time, and yet it had only about 20,000 copies made for the West (somewhere around that amount). The result? The game goes for more than $200 on eBay, USED, and it's price continues to get higher.
^Agreed. Majora's Mask is still my favorite game ever, and I haven't been able to play it recently since I sold my N64 earlier (most the games I had for it were on the VC and I needed to lower my number of systems).
This is smart. They released the first game in America even though the first AND improved second version are in Europe.
So they'll probulay release + in like two weeks, meaning a lot of people including me are gonna basically buy the same game twice. They make double the profits from some people. XP
That's kinda evil and smart of Nintendo on one of the games. They released IK in America even though they released the better version in Europe.
But since I really want to play the game, I'll get the one that's out right now. Then in probulay two weeks, the + version will come out and I'll want to get that one too.
It's genius. They'll get twice the profit from the same game concept. XD
The thing is, you can't really give a game a 9/10 without saying what gives it a 9 instead of a 10.
And also, some games are getting the wrong ratings IMO. Street Fighter 2 has four different versions, some which are apparently better than other versions, and they still all have the same rating?

Re: Harvest Moon Series: Ranch Store
As long as the control is solid, this should be good.

Re: Review: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen (SNES)
Isn't it true that some games in Europe have like five different language options?
Re: First Impressions: Bubble Bobble Plus!
This game sounds great.
Re: First Impressions: Rainbow Islands Towering Adventure!
The graphics are really odd to me.
Bub looks like Mr. Waldo with different shirt. x_x
And the gameplay doesn't look that great either.
I'll pass.

Re: Review: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen (SNES)
I'm happy this got a 9/10.
Now I can play it for the first time. =D
Re: USA VC Update: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen
Clayfighter is a pretty bad game, I hope we don't get it.
Re: USA VC Update: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen
@Link79:
Actually, according to the reviews on this site, all the releases for the C64 so far have either been good or great.
Re: New Furry Legends Screenshots
Reminds me of Lost Winds.

Re: Bubble Bobble Plus!
Bah, I hope this game comes out soon. XP
Re: Rainbow Islands Out in Japan Tomorrow
@Popyman:
It's like Bubble Bobble, except you go UP instead of down.
And instead of firing bubbles, you fire rainbows.
Personally, I think the graphics are kinda odd.
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Family & Friends Party
The graphics look like a kiddy educational game.
Re: USA VC Update: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen
^Maybe it uses Z1 and Z2 differently?
Re: Super Smash Bros.
Despite what some people say, this game is still very good.
Better than Melee IMO.
Re: Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars
A giant's body?
Eew. x_x
Re: Take Five and Double It!
What they should do IMO is have a short Pros and Cons list at the bottom of reviews.
That would make the reviews awesome.
Re: USA VC Update: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen
@Adamant:
Maybe a lack of advertising.

Re: USA VC Update: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen
What makes the release even more neat is that the orignial was in limited copies.
Meaning that you won't have to spend a ton on the game. XP
Anyways, I've never played this game before (or even heard that much about it) other than hearing that it's good.
Re: Night Game - New Game Play Video
Looks great.
Re: EU WiiWare Update: Beer Pong and Snowboard Riot
"Get your balls wet."
Tell me I'm not the only one that finds that kind of wrong.
Re: ESRB Update: Four New WiiWare Games on the Way
16-bit!?
FF4 SEQUAL?
YES.
Re: The TurboGrafx-16 Returns to North America in March
@tatemon: What kind of glitches?
Re: The TurboGrafx-16 Returns to North America in March
Now I'm glad I never got Bomberman '93, now I can get the better '94 version. =D
Re: Uncharted Waters: New Horizons
Looks like a mix between Civilization and Fire Emblem.
Kinda interesting actually, if it gets good reviews, I'll buy it.
Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - March 2009
Oh god, I remeber that video thing about the NES game. XD
But how are they gonna get the part where you got to sing a song (PERFECTLY, seriously, no freaking mistakes at all) to work? XP
Re: Bionic Commando NOT coming to the Virtual Console!
It's probulay because Nazis are in the game (or at least related in the censored version).
Either way, this further proves my theory that Nintendo is trying to avoid putting more violent games on the VC. XP
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
^Agreed.
Majora's Mask is still my favorite game ever, and I haven't been able to play it recently since I sold my N64 earlier (most the games I had for it were on the VC and I needed to lower my number of systems).
Re: Review: Life Force (NES)
I downloaded this game last weekend but I haven't gotten a chance to actually play it yet. XP
Looking forward to it. =o
Re: A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia
Looks good, but the title screen looks awful.
Is that brown smudge gonna appear on my Wii Menu? o.0
Re: Super Smash Bros.
Where is this game? <.<
Re: Nintendo World Cup
Not the best sports game on the NES, but defienetly the best soccer game. XP
Re: EarthBound
@Above, the game has already been said that there are some major copyright laws.
And the ESRB said that they only kept the rating because they're not required to remove it.
It's not a rumor, people.
Re: Take Five and Double It!
It's that if they're going to give a game a certain rating, they need to explain why it being say a 5 is the reason it isn't a 6.
Example.
OoT has a 10/10, but the review barely talks about anything in the game.
Re: Review: Harvest Moon (SNES)
It is a good game, but I find it impossible to play longer than 10 days without getting bored.
Re: Review: Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)
Okay, no offense, but why the hell is this getting a 5/10?
It should be at least 9/10 in my opinion.
Best Kirby game ever.
Re: Review: Sonic Chaos (SMS)
I liked this more than the first two.
I would give it a 8 or 9 personally.
Re: Pitstop II
I don't really care if it's a ripoff as long as it's fun to play. =P
Re: The Last Ninja
I always found isometric games to be somewhat akward to play, but that's just me.
Re: USA VC Update: Commodore 64 Launches With Three Games
I want to see that Mayhem game, and the sports titles, come out in America.
Re: Review: Paradroid (C64)
Looks a little confusing, but I'll probulay buy it nonetheless.
Re: Review: Pitstop II (C64)
This looks pretty fun actually.
The graphics are nice and colorful too.
Re: Review: Summer Games II (C64)
This looks fun.
Re: Review: Winter Games (C64)
This game looks kinda fun actually.
Hope to see it in the US soon.
Re: USA VC Update: Commodore 64 Launches With Three Games
I never played any C64 games so this will be fun to try THREE (and good ones at that) of them. =o
Re: International Karate

Re: Review: Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (NES)
^Just because a game is "hard" doesn't mean it's bad.
Look at most other NES games for example, like Contra.
