I really can't understand why you guys are so angry with Telltale now. It's Nintendo's own "fault" for not offering the technical requirements to pull this off properly and profitably. Telltale are going for more than choppy audio and frame-rate for this one. This time, 40mb are just not enough to let it happen. They have an awesome license and awesome voices. They don't want to risk dumbing down the experience the same way they had to with the Tales of Monkey Island WiiWare port. In addition, I really saw it coming. Telltale has already voiced their grudge against Wiiware's tight restrictions. This really shouldn't have been that big of a surprise for you.
Donkey Kong's fame has declined over the past decade. Sadly, I highly doubt Donkey Kong Country Returns will have a success comparable to New Super Mario Bros. Wii last year. On the other hand, I think Kirby's Epic Yarn will have a superior success because of the "kawaii" and because he's still in the heads of the current gaming generation due to his DS iterations. I can also see Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid Other M getting a boost in the sales, considering it hasn't been Christmas yet since SMG2 was released.
"Bear in mind as usual that these are just rumours until confirmed by Nintendo."
What? Game Freak doesn't belong to Nintendo, so why would they need Nintendo to approve their information? In addition, this is information leaked from the CoroCoro Magazine. They give out new information about Pokémon games almost every month and they have never reported any bogus information. The only way this could be wrong is if the person that translated it from Japanese to English got something wrong. In other words, I wouldn't call this a rumor anymore.
You have to take into account that a lot of bad games don't even get a metascore due to there not being enough reviews. I believe if such games had more reviews the percentage of bad games would be a lot higher.
"an Nintendo distributor" Isn't it "a Nintendo distributor"? I find it kind of weird that Japan suddenly gets a Metroid game before Europe again by the way. Maybe because Retro Studios isn't involved?
I think they are pretty cool, except for the grass-type one because it looks way too similar to Treecko. Apparently the protagonists are adults this time. Artworks of them have also been released in the same issue of Coro Coro.
Why the hell did this get a 1? There was NO effort put into this. Also the idea is bad since the screen shines without wasting 200 points on that application.
I would give the game a 6 out of 10 other than in the mini games and when you fail at drawing an object as painter Wario I don't remember any toilet humor in the game (whats so bad about having a pile in a mini game?) the controls weren't that bad too You get used to jumping with the up-button really fast, the comparison, that you might as well play with your toes was uncalled for IMO I also loved the music in this game. It's all still in my head even though I haven't played the game for 2 years (the boss music when you fight Count Cannoli in the mecha is one of the best boss themes I have ever heard) I have to admit, a lot of the enemies in the game looked really weird and didn't fit, however the environment was done really well
By the way, the UK/EU release date is not in your database. It came out there on June 1st 2007 (I still remember that date for some reason)
"Previously announced as Add-On/Download Content, Nicalis, Inc. has integrated these modes as part of the full game, so there's need for additional downloads or purchases." a bit of contradiction I think you forgot to put in a "no"
@theblackdragon why am I the one you are telling this? I understand that it is likely not to be true but retrobuttons was acting like Ngamer went insane with who they chose as their sources so I just tried to explain the whole thing to him
@retrobuttons I forgot to add something to my post; the DSi XL has also been announced and denied days before the official announcement - so much to your "Nintendo knows how to keep a secret" theory
@retrobuttons these were just explanations to why they didn't post the source . the DSi XL has also been announced and denied days before the official announcement
@retrobuttons It is probably just to get people excited, still they want to pass it over as a rumor first I know nothing has been proven yet but these strategies have been used for many years
@retrobuttons - don't you know how news work? only a bunch of people knew it and one of them couldn't shut his mouth and told somebody else if they tell us their source, their source is screwed
What are you guys talking about? You don't even know in what form or how you are going to be able to play as Sonic and if the game's good, why would you boycott it only because Sonic appears in it? I would love to see some areas of Sonic games implemented as a Galaxy in SMG2 Or maybe Mario gets a hedgehog suit that allows him to run fast There are many possibilities and I can't wait to see what they made of it

Re: La-Mulana Fails Nintendo Approval Process
@Rensch Have you ever heard of bugs and glitches?
Re: Super Meat Boy May Skip WiiWare and Head to Retail
To be honest, yes, I'd totally buy it on a disc. However, I somehow doubt enough people will buy the disc version.

Re: Cave Story Update Now Available
A little typo; you wrote until with double-l in the bug fixes
Re: Mew Returns to Pokemon in HeartGold and SoulSilver
Already got that Mew in the Japanese version a year ago... I guess another one wouldn't hurt.
Re: n-Space CEO Describes the Games Industry as a Mess
@HugoSmits Video Games are interactive and take way longer to finish than movies. Thus your comparison isn't justified.

Re: Don't Expect Any 3DS Titles From Epic Games Anytime Soon
Shouldn't the caption read "an iPhone" rather than "a iPhone"?
Re: Review: Pokémon Emerald (Game Boy Advance)
@zezhyrule 8: Effort Values always existed.
Re: King Dedede Returns in Latest Kirby's Epic Yarn Trailer
Good to see Good-Feel back. They did an awesome job on Wario Land: The Shake Dimension.
Re: Review: Metroid: Other M (Wii)
Is there an option that allows you to hear the Japanese dub? I always prefer Japanese voice actors over the other ones.
Re: Japanese GO Series to Attack Europe and North America
I actually liked Wario: Master of Disguise.
Re: Features: Bizarre Emails Sent to Nintendo Life
Have you ever thought of linking them to Nintendo's customer service? After all they were intended to go there.
Re: Get the Lowdown on And Yet It Moves with this Series of Videos
That's what I call an Austrian accent.
Re: Epic Mickey Brushes with Paper and Digital Comic Books
I know I'm nitpicking but the game is called "Disney Epic Mickey" without the "'s".
Re: Yes, There Really Is a Zelda Master Timeline Document
I read a really believable timeline on http://www.zeldatimeline.com .
According to the author's deduction, there are 2 timelines.
The first timeline is the timeline that plays after Link became adult Link in OOT.
OOT-TWW+PH-ST
The second timeline is the timeline where Link became young Link again.
OOT+MM-TP-TMC-FS+FSA-ALTTP+OOS+OOA+LA-TLOZ-TAOL
(+ means direct sequel, - means you play in another time)
Re: Jett Rocket's Return May Not be in Platform Form
Maybe a super-stylized 2D-platformer?
Or an RPG.
I wouldn't want a Jett Rocket puzzler, racing or sports game.
Re: Review: 4 TRAVELLERS - Play French (DSiWare)
How much I hate those 3D rendered faces...

I didn't like it. The jokes were just not funny.

Re: E3 2010: Your Questions: Day 3
Corbie, did you meet our beloved Irate Gamer? Or at least the AVGN...?

Re: Pokemon Returns to European Wiis in July with PokePark: Pikachu's Adventure
Woah, I wondered when this is going to come to us just today. From what I have seen it has pretty nice graphics but only about 10 hours gameplay.
Re: Pokémon Black and White Starters are Disappointingly Ugly
@33 I agree. You don't make friends or laughs like this, James.

They sound great

playing games at a toilet is damn gross IMO

Re: Extreme Hangman Breaks Sales Records
wow, that was kind of unexpected
Re: Cave Story Coming March 22nd
"Previously announced as Add-On/Download Content, Nicalis, Inc. has integrated these modes as part of the full game, so there's need for additional downloads or purchases."
a bit of contradiction

wow, I can't believe people now start bumblebeeing about how much Sonic sucks and that they are going to boycott the game
Re: Sonic Playable in Super Mario Galaxy 2?
I have to say that I think every character beyond Sonic and Tails is just ridiculous
Re: Sonic Playable in Super Mario Galaxy 2?
I think the tall, thin look fits to Sonic's speed and dynamic
but let's not get too off topic here
Re: Sonic Playable in Super Mario Galaxy 2?
@warioswoods ; Sonic used to be a lot fatter in the 2D games
I like his 3D look by the way
Re: Sonic Playable in Super Mario Galaxy 2?
Again, what are your problems with Sonic Adventure 1 and 2? They are awesome and critically acclaimed
yes, they are 3D Sonic games
