Re: Talking Point: What Was Your First Legend Of Zelda Game?

Edelkart

The Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition for GameCube, this was my first introduction to the series and while I never made it far in the games it made me more aware of the series then I would Oot 3D and beat one dungeon and Botw is what really got me into the series.

Re: Mario Strikers: Battle League Update Adds Daisy, Shy Guy, And More

Way do people need to keep complaining about free updates I get why people complain buts it tiring listening especially since Nintendo likely isn’t listening. And let’s be honest without free updates people stop playing in a few weeks, would it be better for the game to be “complete” and get even more content yes but this is just how things are. Strikers was never about content but gameplay baseball always was content loaded.

Re: Soapbox: 20 Years Later, Super Mario Sunshine Is Still The Best 3D Mario

Edelkart

I love Mario sunshine and I don’t have a nostalgic bias playing it in 3D all stars really did show me how good the game is it’s not perfect(most 3D Mario games have flaws 64 bad controls, sunshine difficulty and low level count, galaxy more linear levels, galaxy 2 worst story, oddessy way too much filler) I still like 3D land and 3D world better because of nostalgia but sunshine despite its flaws is still pretty great.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Mind If Nintendo Retired The 'Big' Nintendo Direct Format?

Edelkart

I do feel Nintendo needs to change up their strategy so it’s not as predictable but I don’t think full directs should be replace for that reason. I have no excitement waking up in the morning and seeing a trailer and then just being like oh a trailer. To be honest not that many leaks in recent memory it’s been the same few rumors for every direct and any other leaks have mostly been 3rd party or Nintendo themselves. I understand people who don’t like directs but more most people this is were hype for announcements comes from.

Re: Mario Strikers: Battle League: How To Earn Coins For Gear - Easy Coin Bonuses

@steventonysmith I believe misworded what I was saying, what I meant is free content helps the games get more longevity even if it is a shallow release. In terms of sales and how long people would play if they were “complete” on launch a lot people would stop playing after a few weeks. I really do enjoy Mario tennis aces which I failed to make clear previously and haven’t gotten a chance to play golf because joy-con drift but from the small amount I did play it was fun and I will likely enjoy strikers. Also botw and smo while you have a point I was referring mostly to free content also even without the bonus content new things are still discovered, dlc is paid and bigger usually having a waves and updates are typically smaller. I think I got everything across correctly this time.

People when Nintendo does updates:
Should have been here launch the game sucks. While extending the life of a game that would have died in a month.
People when Nintendo reales a full game:
Why doesn’t Nintendo do free updates? While having a game that lasts years.
Point being without updates these games would die in a month with only the dedicated community remaining. The big non spin-off games(Mario kart is its own franchise) will always last for longer hence why updates are pointless. Want proof look at at Mario golf or tennis and Mario kart 8 deluxe, people stopped buying the Mario sports games and barley anyone plays them but mk8dx people were still buying and playing without any updates same for smo and botw. If you feel it’s a bad practice it’s a fair point but just know that any spin-offs or smaller franchises without updates will die in weeks. I am not trying to be salty or anything but people need to stop doubling back on their words.

Re: Minecraft Legends Is Coming To Switch In 2023

Edelkart

Another interesting
Minecraft spin-off that will have support for a year or two and then all the interesting & cool ideas that they think of will never be used in base Minecraft. I hope people enjoy this game, it’s personally not for me, but it’s always so disappointing seeing these interesting concepts never get used in base game.

Re: Random: Is This Cryptic Tweet A Hint At New Zelda Remakes?

Edelkart

I highly doubt this tweet means anything since all this guy has done has been post a bunch of predictions call them leaks and ban anyone who points out any incorrect information. There is a video by a YouTuber called GameOver Jesse where he essentially go overs some of his “Leaks”
