Epic was pressured by Sony to implement this block when thy launched it on the Playstaion store. Epic can easily make a patch and unblock it. Sony would be steaming mad, but they can still do it. When Fortnite was first launched it was a small game with a small userbase, so Sony had the upperhand and they could "Force" Epic to implement these features if they wanted to put this out on PS4, now the situation has changed. Fortine has became so big, that Epic has the upper hand. They can easily say " Let us remove the block or were pulling Fortnite off the store". If Epic said that to Sony, the executives would start freaking out, losing one of the top games in the industry off their platform would hurt their business tremendously and the'll be "forced" to give in. That why all the cards are in Epic Games hand.
