Remember that GBA games on Wii U removed multiplayer functionality. So no multiplayer for releases like Mario Kart: Super Circuit or Kirby and the Amazing Mirror for example. The 3DS re-releases of gen 1-2 were more expensive than those GBA games, at $10 for Gameboy games. Also Red & Blue couldn't be played in colour.

GameBoy has the Easter egg if you hold a direction while booting the app, like with GBA and GameCube.

@SpaceboyScreams NSO Expansion Pack is $80 for the family plan version, which allows for 8 accounts. It’s $50 for the individual membership.

@CaptainQuo More games would be good for the service of course, but the N64 is the one system where the NSO re-releases far surpass the Virtual Console. Ogre Battle 64 is one game- there's like 20 N64 games on NSO that weren't on Wii or Wii U.

The GBA as you said is the real "shadow of it's potential"- no third party games at all so far, and only 25 games compared to roughly 70 on the Wii U.

@Lizuka Scarlet and Violet were bigger glowups on Switch 2 than Odyssey because Odyssey already ran and looked great on Switch 1.

@CaptainQuo The N64 library on NSO is approximately double what the Wii or Wii U Virtual Console had. 39 vs 21.
