@Damo I can understand the tough and tiring spot the staff is in with the community. My personal biggest issue is the lack of Mods or Mods actually controlling the comments. Discussions and civil disagreements are great and build a community. A group of people with one mind set is not a community; it's a cult. However, when people are allowed to call each other names with no repercussions, it creates a toxic community. Personally, I created my account for the ignore list and not for discussions after 2.5 years of lurking. The ignore list is a band-aid solution to a bigger problem.
@clvr “Article authors attacking commenters” Fair enough. I was mainly referring to one particular author, whom I won't name since he isn't involved with this article.
@clvr To add another vote, I agree. I've been lurking/commenting since the amiibo craze; Nintendo Life still used Disqus. It amazes me that the staff seems to have less article worthy topics when Nintendo is successful. Articles with little purpose other to instigate "fanboys vs. trolls" rants. Article authors attacking commenters. Sometimes, this site feels like IGN...
@Alantor28 Stop acting like a child. All you do is attack other people who disagree with you while trying to act like a Mod. You report people for breaking rules, but then call other people's words "moronic", which is breaking the rules. I only see you comment to attack others. Why are you here?
While I understand why Nintendo used the NES Classic as the basis for the emulation, it makes me wonder why it didn't try (or at least try harder) to improve the security. Maybe, this explains the 7 day online requirement, or more likely, it's just a coincidence.
@FoxyGlen While I agree the comment section could be more civil, it is very ironic that you all of people are suggesting this.
You are the one who wrote the header that was either designed purely for clicks or is the worst header of all time.
You are one of the main people attacking other users.
You are the one accusing Yorumi of being aggressive for merely disagreeing with you and either moved the goalpost during the PC cost debate or have no idea how much parts cost considering they can be used for multiple console cycles.
And finally, it's bad form to agree with users known most for attacking other users, attacking like Mods, and constantly being told not to do these things.
@MattFox You can tell which people never had to see someone suffer. One in particular should be making this comment section better not adding to the chaos. To all those stating the patient should be spending time with family, maybe, the patient wants to play with family. Smash is my most played series with family and friends.

Re: Soapbox: We Like To Grumble, But Nintendo Switch Online Is Actually A Very Generous Offer
@Ryzaerian Even though he's on my ignore list, I know exactly whom you are talking about. I like to call him "Delusion of Grandeur".
