@Rhaoulos I played 200hrs+ on Xenoblade X and thought is was amazing! I like the entire series really. X was just a different beast to the others, it prioritized exploration and free form gameplay over a narrative focused experience. I will say the game was not intuitive or beginner friendly so you really had to dig in and figure out it's nuanced systems. I doubt it will come to Switch but that game deserves a bigger audience than it got 1st time around.
@BloodyMurder Literally the only thing censored in X was the "boon slider" in character creation and some of Lin's outfits cuz she's like 13 and X was such an amazing game for exploration and rpg mechanics that if that ruined the game for you I think you missed the point and are playing the wrong game. Plenty of ecchi games out there if that's what makes or breaks a game for you. Same with TMS just missed some boobs and not much else, also a good game.
@The-Chosen-one yes, despite most people's belief to the contrary Wii U looked about the same as switch but just wasn't portable. I still think Xenoblade X is the best looking Xenoblade in the series, not my favorite but best looking.
I know I'm the odd one out based on others who have posted, however I really like this game a lot. I like the fact that I don't have to do anything but explore. I love RPGs but often I get tired of the non stop combat and just want to be in that world without the stress, this game lets me do that. I only wish it were longer.
No offense to anyone who likes this game but I remember buying this game back in the day when other truly great RPGs walked the Earth and let me tell you, this game is terrible! The game is very very lose structured and very obtuse to the player. Major game mechanics and functions are not explained at all and in general it's just not fun. One of the few games I just gave away bc I hated it so much. Square has so many amazing games from this era, why remaster this one is beyond me. Buyer beware, Final Fantasy this is not.
@HeadPirate and if you count Final Fantasy Four hero's of light which was truly the first game in the series it's number 4.And seriously the only difference in that game was the name, the world, monsters and even battle system was the same. The wanderer was the save and everything. On a side note I loved that game.
@kingjonelulz what do you mean exactly? Unless you are talking about the Japan only phone game the other titles were stand alone rpgs with no dlc or Micro transactions.
@DanTee I understand the frustration you feel. I also loved Super Metroid and wish the series was better supported. The one that kills me most though is the Mother series, for goodness sake Nintendo give us another one! They too are beloved but had overall low sales.
@Bunkerneath Color Splash was awesome! I think people who hate on Color splash are people who never played it and just assume it's Sticker Star 2 which it definitely isn't. Looks like sticker star but is a much much better game. Anyway, I agree its a great game and I wish more people got to actually play it.
@IronMan30 For what it's worth after playing for the first time last night for several hours I actually really enjoy the combat. I don't understand the people saying battle is slow. I can do most battles in about 20 to 30 seconds, which is faster than most RPG systems. I think people who don't like it may just not grasp it or not be fans of puzzles. Either way it's super fun in my opinion and I hope people don't miss out on a great game without playing and deciding for themselves.
The Paper Mario community is what will ultimately kill the series, I'm convinced half the hate against color splash is by people who never even played it and just made assumptions. It DOES have progression in battles via increased paint, its just not every other RPG we have been playing for the last 30 years and that's ok.
I understand the frustration with Sticker Star but I feel half the people who hate on Color Splash never played it and just assume it's Sticker Star 2. It was an amazing game and definitely had progression via combat by means of increasing paint levels which were basically mp. If you skipped enemies the game would become hard due to shallow resources. Color splash and Xenoblade X were prob my two favorite Wii U games. I think nostalgia for old games kills our enjoyment of many new games. I felt that way with Final Fantasy as a series, loved the old ones.

@Hask My feelings exactly. I also didn't care for SPM.
