I had plenty of games, I just finished or got bored with them. After that I just chatted with people on Miiverse. There has been nothing new for me for months.
Only used my Wii U for Miiverse, but since I can use it online that has stopped. So now that we have confirmation it'll be coming to 3DS soon, I'll have less reason to use my Wii U.
But I'm selling it tomorrow anyway, so yeah.. Man was it a bad idea to buy day one. Not doing that again.
Won't be at home to watch that... maybe I could on my phone, but 3G is poor in my area. Ah well, it'll be nice to see some of the game. I know it won't happen, but it'd be nice if they randomly threw a "Monster Hunter 4 NA/UK Direct"
I don't see what the problem is. You don't have to pay for the bank if you don't want it. It's simply an added extra for the Pokémon fans, besides this shows the possibility of a cloud based service on Nintendo systems at some point in the future.
The only thing that would stop me buying this is the fact you have to character figurines to okay with that particular character which sucks. But its definitely a superb looking game.
Typical CGI intro film. Be interesting to see the final project, especially since the DSiWare AiRace games were really good fun. Hopefully Qubic delivers another good entry into the series.
This is probably a path to a cloud for your eShop downloads, but either way, they're on the right path having a cloud based Pokémon bank. Even though there is a fee, I think this will be heavily used by all those Pokémon Dana out there.
Steamworld Dig is a masterpiece! Hopefully Image & Form will continue with this series as they're on a really good track record so far. Be nice if they did a prequel to Steamworld Dig to see what happened before.
Love Thearhythm, haven't played in in a while though. Would be cool if they extended the series into another one of their franchises. Especially since it has proven that it's works really with Final Fantasy.
NintenDees... the next Nintendo handheld, you heard it here first!
Seriously though, how stupid are these "tech experts"? Can't even pronounce 3DS or 2DS properly... just get a 6 year old on there, they'll tell you the ins and outs of that console no problem.
@DanteSolablood But you see, you can buy a refurbished 3DS from Nintendo themselves for cheaper than this, plus their one year warranty and it includes 3D. So the "value" part of it is turning more and more into bull.
Not to mention, the original 3DS is far more aesthetically pleasing, you can put it into any pocket, you can turn off the 3D through parental controls (and what 6 year old knows how to access parental controls? Not to mention guess a 4 digit code?) and I've dropped my original 3DS on to concrete and the most damage it had was a slight scratch that was barely noticeable.
I fail to see what market this could possibly have. I understand children are butter fingers and clumsy as heck, so what's the point in having those screens unprotected like that? I can see that getting scratched and damaged far quicker than on the 3DS/XL.
@DanteSolablood But there's Parental Controls to block 3D usage to stop naughty fingers turning it on.
I understand the value part of it, but surely they could have made it a bit more aesthetically appealing. It looks like a leap frog kind of thing, it's horrible.
It will also confuse parents even more, considering a lot of them are dumb as poo these days. And I can see developers will probably start shovelling out 2D only games now.
I understand where Nintendo are coming from making this system. I just don't understand why... it's ugly, it's not pocket friendly and it's huge.
The whole point of the 3DS was to play in 3D and even 2D if necessary. If parents don't understand that the 3DS can also be played in 2D, then they shouldn't come anywhere near the internet in the first place.
What market could this possibly have that the 3DS isn't already in? The 3DS can play 3D and 2D, this can play just 2D, no matter what way you look at it, you're getting half a system here.
@Spoony_Tech You're not alone. Good bye DS Zelda games, you despicable tyrants! Link Between Worlds is looking brilliant, can't wait to play that game!
3DS is the killer handheld of this generation. If not the best handheld ever released.
Not enough 3DS screens. Seriously, I want to see what that console can deliver!
As for SSB4, this game is looking amazing! Maybe it will be a 2014 release date after all... and the Wii U version sure is looking pretty. Hopefully the 3DS gets the Pilotwings (?) stage too.
I'm actually quite fond of the black Okami-styled border around the characters. But this is a nice surprise and one I will gladly play around with when I get my copy in 2015.
Didn't Nintendo have the phrase: "It's on like Donkey Kong" copyright protected? Or at least trademarked so no one could use it unless authorized by Nintendo?
@unrandomsam Well there was no reason for Nintendo to say no, Bowser only appeared for what, 2-3 minutes? No point charging Disney to show their character for such a short amount of time.
As for this, it sounds interesting... but I think Nintendo will be shutting this down as soon as they catch sniff of this.
@rmeyer Before Christmas?! Lol, I hope you mean Christmas 2014 because there is no way they'll be releasing MH4 in the west this year!
Do you have any idea how long it takes to translate every single piece of text from Japanese to English? We had to wait a year and a half for MH3U to be released.
I agree with the 6/10, simply because it's not great and it's not awful either. It's simply middle ground.
The price is perfect, the games, while simple, are enjoyable and work well. The music is good enough to enlarge the games enjoyment. And it's brilliant for a couple minutes here and there to have a go at it.
It's a pretty decent title with some pretty good games. Lack of a score board is a killer though especially since it's based around the whole concept of getting the best score possible.
I definitely enjoy the Asteroids remake though, use to play that a lot in the good old PC gaming days. But the controls are great, but at least they work.
@C-Olimar "A report is a statement of fact. You have given me an opinion." You're nit-picking on that bit? Really? Lol.
I found David Tennant and Matt Smith did their jobs really well playing as the Doctor. But compared to the old series of Doctor Who, before Christopher Eccleston, it really isn't anything special. It's missing that fear factor that was prevalent in the older shows. When Steven Moffat took over, I feel as if the shows quality went down by miles. At least it was still decent with Russel T Davies.
As for Series 7, just what was that? I want it to be as amazing as it was before, not some kiddy show with more wit than fear. I just hope the new actor (whatever his name is) will bring back the darker tone the show desperately needs.
@C-Olimar And I'm sorry to report, but Doctor Who's been getting worse since Scott Moffit took over. Doctor Who now isn't even a shadow of its former glory.
@Article The BBC are known for reporting all kinds of wacky crap with no proper source material. The should just stick to normal news.
@banacheck What? Have you seen YouTube for the past 5 or 6 years? YouTube primarily boomed because of Call of Duty videos, along with other stuff of course.
Also, "thats why its on the Wii U", it's on every console and PC. What the buck kind of comment is that?
"isn't COD mainly an Xbox game?", yes and no. Microsoft have a partnership with Activision to have all the DLC released months before the other consoles. It also sells really well on the 360 because of the ball-less"teens".

So far, this developer is one to look out for.

2DS, not interested.
Wii U price cut, not interested since I'm already contemplating selling mine.

@Alshain01 Skyward Sword logo?

Re: Layton 7 is Announced, and Looks Like Quite a Departure
Really, the sales diminished in Japan with each release? Wow... they must really hate Professor Layton.
Personally, it's a really good game with some crazy puzzles and good story-telling. Other than that, it can lose its appeal rather quickly...
As for Layton 7 (hopefully this is a working title...), it might come through as a good game, but if not, I can the series dying right there and then.
Re: Nintendo Download: 29th August (Europe)
Wow, disappointing... very disappointing. The best release is Rayman out of that list, shame I'm not interested in Rayman.
Re: Rumour: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Trailer Shows a Special Edition Wii U Design
Still hate the HD sign on the box, it's beyond fugly. Just get rid of it Nintendo, that's a -50 points just for that ugly thing...

Uhm, those ARE the current prices for those titles on the eShop in the UK and they've been like that since they were released. Where's this discount?
