Re: Aonuma Keeps Returning to Zelda in the Hope of Making a Perfect Game

Chris720

You can never make the perfect game, everyone will find a fault with it somewhere along he line. For example, SS wasn't perfect for me because the spirit world parts were annoying.

But Links Awakening was perfect for me because it was well balanced and the flow of the game felt just right.

But I have a feeling that his strive for perfection will just lead him into having more regrets about what he could change or could have added. But as long as there's a Zelda game, I will always buy it.

Re: Nintendo Releases Handy Wii U Comparison Chart

Chris720

Wasn't this shown a few months back on this very website?

They even did the same thing with the 3DS to DS comparison. Obviously, consumers can't tell the difference between Nintendo consoles whereas they can with Microsoft and Sony... I don't understand this.

Re: Poll: Is Nintendo's Wii U Advertising and Marketing Doing Enough?

Chris720

@ScroogeMcLz It might be different in America. But I have seen plenty of parents in video game stores, supermarkets and other outlets that sell games buying their children games with a rating 16+ even though they are nowhere near that age.

Possibly its just a small scale and only based on what I've seen, but there are still parents out there who don't care.

Re: Poll: Is Nintendo's Wii U Advertising and Marketing Doing Enough?

Chris720

@ScroogeMcLz I haven't seen a single parent who gives a flying pig about ratings anymore. They buy their kids whatever they want as long as they get them off their back. I even saw one parent buy GTAV for their child the other day and he must have been 10 or 11.

Gaming has changed a lot since I was growing up. It used to be about the fun of it, now it seems to be just killing, graphics and mobile gaming. Nintendo will always have a place in gaming, I just think they'll have a smaller share of the pie if they don't get their bum in gear and sort it out.

Re: Poll: Is Nintendo's Wii U Advertising and Marketing Doing Enough?

Chris720

Its simple facts that Nintendo is not doing enough to market the Wii U. Every multiplatform game ad that shows up either has PS4 or Xbox One tagged on at the end... now that's good marketing sense, why isn't Ninth getting in on this scheme? It obviously works.

Consumers, especially parents now, are being drawn to the console that will offer their child the console they want. With constant bombardment of the One and PS4 screaming "buy me", parents and the gaming community as a whole will answer. But the Wii U is just sitting there saying nothing. Not to mention the limited amount of games on offer is diabolical and all the 2014 release dates just shows Ninty weren't ready for the leap to HD.

Re: Poll: Is Nintendo's Wii U Advertising and Marketing Doing Enough?

Chris720

Worst advertising for a console possible. The only as I ever remember seeing is the ones for Tour De France and last years trailers. That's it.

3DS on the other hand is on the TV, internet, Google+, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and even my local radio station. Even saw it on a random bus.

Wii U though? Nothing, nowhere, it might as well not exist.

Re: Video: This IronFall Tech Demo is Rather Impressive

Chris720

Looks pretty amazing on graphics alone. After seeing what Capcom did with Revelations I didn't think we'd see anything more graphically pleasing... but this looks brilliant.

I'll keep my eye on this title and see where it goes from here. Hopefully the game will be as much as what he graphics look like.

Re: Monster Hunter 4 Helps Capcom Boost Overall Sales By 16.9%

Chris720

Same opinion as Techy. Capcom has been doing really well with their Monster Hunter series but the Resident Evil series hasn't been all that great recently. After playing through Revs again, you can see how it turns from horror based to "shoot everything" quite quickly in the campaign... Still better than RE6 though...

Hopefully see a MH4 release, just not near SSB... It'll be bad this month with Zelda and Batman.

Re: Weirdness: A Mario Kart Movie Could be Epic

Chris720

A Need for Speed movie? Well, racing movies haven't done badly... But a movie based on a popular racing sim? Now that's a different story entirely... I don't see that being any good at all...

As for the Mario Kart parody. We've all seen how bad the Mario film was, a Mario Kart version would just be worse. Not to mention, most of the film will be showing blue shells constantly.

Re: Nintendo Unveils New Trailer and Details For The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Chris720

Quite a nice touch with the name of the alternate Hyrule. Lorule, that is actually pretty neat...

The old SFX are brilliant. The more of that the better, nothing beats a bit of nostalgia hitting the senses. The game looks really promising and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Between AC, Monster Hunter, Zelda and who knows what else I can safely say the 3DS will be used 24/7 next year.

Re: Review: AiRace Speed (3DS eShop)

Chris720

"the limited scope still feels like that of a side course than a main meal."

Yup, exactly how to sum it up really. But y'know, you don't expect main meals from the eShop, unless you buy a retail download.

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins Will Be Cheaper on Wii U

Chris720

@Shiryu I understand that, but how else is the install base going to get bigger if you don't provide what is common place on other consoles? No one wants to buy an inferior version, especially with the online component not apart of the Wii U version.

Re: Review: Star Wars Pinball (3DS eShop)

Chris720

I haven't found it as appealing as the other two Pinball games from Zen, but this doesn't deserve a 6 by any means. Obviously there a few glitches and what not at the moment, but I'm sure they'll be ironed out.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy Grand Theft Auto V On Wii U?

Chris720

Not my kind if game, but it wouldn't hurt for it to be on the Wii U just to widen the third party offerings. Not to mention, it is a game that would move a lot of units and give the Wii U a more adult vibe and widen the audience market.
