@XenoKidRex however though, you’ve got a point about this game - this wouldn’t be worth a physical price but I guess those who have money on the hip will go for it.
@XenoKidRex I’m someone who adores a physical copy, many of us hold off buying it digitally if we know a physical is on the way. I’m yet to buy Celest as that’s got a physical in the works for Switch.
My be a generation thing - I’m 29, not ready to let go of physical copies anytime soon. These things often sell out very fast as well, not sure what it is but many are just very attracted to the tangible - also judging by some of the insane library’s of collectors on Instagram - they’ll snap up just about anything that’s limited.
Have they mixed up the online tournament final court type yet? Certain characters have a massive advantage on a hard court, and always playing a hard court in the final can be real pain when you’re playing against Bowser for example. Constantly giving some players a one up.
I’ve not felt the kind of Joy from a video game like I did with Odyssey for many many years. The set piece in New Donk City blew my mind upon the first playtthrough - simply stunning. I felt absolutely compelled to 100% the game and collect all 999 moons which I did - some of the very last moons I collected happened to be some of the best little challenges in the game. Such as I think one of my final 5 or so happened to be that stunnng little surprise in the cinema! Genuinely amazing game and I’ve ignored all the costume updates but I have to go back in for that 8 - bit one!
Doesn’t matter who you are - I’m sure he isn’t playing those NES titles. Surely we’ll get to SNES eventually, just hope it doesn’t take another few years.
First off is there a way to leave a comment on Nintendo Life without scrolling down the entire list? Genuine Question there.
Second, I think I already know the answer to this but I'm really hoping the cartridges are brown and yellow - they will miss a real nostalgia trip if not, genuinely would dig that.
Lastly I absolutely adore my Switch, haven't enjoyed and invested in a console this much since the SNES or 64. However, I'm still not quite convinced about Let's Go, a few things hold me back - not really a fan of catching the same pokemon 80 times. I know we're talking about animated polygons here but I feel it devalues the pokemon; I'm a bit sentimental that way. And having a box full of hundreds and hundreds is not the way I play but seems it needs to be the case to level pokemon up as of course you don't battle wild pokemon. So I'm hoping there's an easy way to organise and release a bunch and so on.
Were all gagging for SNES Games and clearly we all adore Nintendo otherwise we wouldn’t be members on this site - that said I’m really concerned how long they could drag these NES titles out before finally moving up to SNES - this is going to be a very bumpy ride.
Lastly this is slightly off topic, I’m really concerned the new Super Mario Bros Deluxe game coming in January won’t have online play? It would be typical of Nintendo that I could play a 30 year old game online (Super Mario bros. 3), then a brand new one where I can’t. I’ll be so very disappointed if I can’t play through that game in turn-taking style online just like the new NES Versions - makes it so much more fun.
@FragRed pixels go a long way my friend - enhanced screen doesn’t make this any better, anyone who’s into these aren’t looling for high polished graphics. There is an official iPhone Tamagotchi app which has updated art which brings nowt to it.
What I really want is streaming - me and my friends are really into the likes of Gungeon and Dead Cells and it’s almost just as entertaining watching runs on those games as it is playing them. Had a blast playing Super Mario Bros 3 online and taking turns, anyone think they’ll ever get streaming on the switch like they do on Xbox?
Was hoping that we’d eventually get SNES and NES classic games like this, physical copies too but it is quite clear that Nintendo will trickle out SNES games eventually through the subscription - hope they don’t make us wait another couple years. They managed to really milk the Virtual Console releases - would love to play online co-op on SNES titles. I’ve had a blast playing NES games with some friend online - Super Mario Bros 3 was a joy with online turn taking.
Incredible game, completed it for the first time two days ago playing online co-op with a friend; save states helped! (Could never do it as a kid)
Amazing that I found it far more entertaining than many platformers released today. We couldn’t stop talking about how ahead of its time it is, the game constantly changes and throws in new elements through out the entire play through, simply stunning!
@NerdyBoutKirby games were harder back then, no doubt completely intentional to make it even more challenging. Genuinely a very difficult game but I do think it’s amazing.
@brandonbwii I too raised this question - as I remember them saying it’ll hit the Switch first but I believe the promise was that it’s the first console to get it. So before PS4 and Xbox.
@Dalarrun you’re not alone there - I have adored and played all the key Mario instalments yet I just couldn’t ever get into or enjoy Sunshine. I was still pretty young at the time of release (13) but it just wasn’t the sequel I was expecting - perhaps I enjoyed 64 so much that I disliked Sunshine.

@chardir exactly what I thought about the size and shape - accessories would become a complete mess with like Joycon XL’s knocking about.
