I have never liked the HD-2D style. It takes all the beauty and charm of pixel art and ruins it by adding excessive lighting effects and other visual garbage. I don't want my pixel games to have half the screen obscured by blur and bloom. Why not simply make a beautiful 2D game?
But what I really want is re-releases of the original versions of older games. I do not wish to play another remake of a Final Fantasy title... I wish to play the original version.
They're both good in their own ways and crap in their own ways but I gotta give it to Engage. Anyone criticizing the story is fooling themselves, 3H's story is just as whack but in a different way. I'm not out here trying to romance high school students. Bring back the epic, high fantasy-style stories of classic FE.
You can eventually speed up movement by more than double and turn off battles entirely once you obtain certain accessories and characters around the halfway mark, which makes optional exploration a breeze.
This is so sick. Honestly though I wasn't a huge fan of the Earth Temple, I wonder why the modder chose this one in particular. So many other great dungeons to choose from.
In any case, would love to see more traditional dungeons in BOTW2, it was the one thing really lacking from an otherwise fabulous game.
It seems like the Playtonic folks saw DKC Tropical Freeze and said to themselves "yeah we can take a crack at that." Levels look great, music sounds great, love Capital B lovingly kissing his staff. Really excited for this game, and curious how it will fit into the lore of the Playtonic universe!
The developer commentary series they did on youtube was really revealing along the same lines as this article. It was really interesting hearing how frank they all were about the areas they thought the game was lacking in and the explanation behind it (usually simply a matter of not enough time or resources). But you can also really tell the devs loved this project and put everything they had into it. YL feels like a very loving game to me, and that's why I enjoy it despite the flaws.

Re: Switch SNES Controller Confirmed, Nintendo Switch Online SNES Games Next?
First games for SNES online? I'm predicting Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, and Link to the Past.
