The switch was rushed

The cases are too huge, 3DS cases were already huge in relation to the game carts. It seems nintendo made huge cases to make the switch seem more like a home console.

The switch carts are so small, Hard to get excited for such small carts that can't even fit some art in them.
I wish they had been as big as snes carts, that's the kind of carts that are exciting to handle and look at

Yep, that's exactly it. I remember some years ago how Nintendo said that they worked with retail "partners" to set the digital prices.

I don't like apps in consoles, I hate them in fact. I hate how they bloat the UI and possible the OS as well.
I use consoles for games, and nothing else.

The thing is a lot of people use those apps and they are expecting them, like youtube app a web browser or netflix etc. so not having a web browser or apps is a big miss from Nintendo.
I'm pretty sure I read a comment here where someone stated not having a web browser was a deal breaker for them, which to me sounds insane but it shows there's certainly demand for those apps.

Maybe the Switch was rushed and for that reason Zelda doesn't have HD rumble and switch doesn't have a web browser. And we probably haven't heard anything about the virtual console because they are still working on it, just a guess I'm probably wrong though.

I don't entirely believe browser exploits are the reason for not having it on switch, there's a browser in xbox one and ps4 and they are still not cracked I think, if they can make a secure browser then Nintendo can do it as well

@Piersen Haha it's the same here it's a shame arcades are almost extinct outside Japan. I remember underage people were not allowed to play Fantasia but we could still watch, there was always "expectation" from the young ones when an adult started playing lol

The art is pretty cool, I wonder if the MAME scene is still ripping roms from modern machines.

@Alshain01 This is how I feel about the Switch as well, I'm not interested in the portable aspect at all so the tablet and detachable controls are basically tech that I wouldn't use but would have to pay for.
If you compare the vita and pstv prices it's safe to assume a switch box with no tablet would be easily $150 cheaper.

@JaxonH The first MG was actually released on MSX2 first. Your point still stands though.
