Re: Netflix Is Reportedly Eager To Expand Into Video Games

AvianBlue

I love the idea of Netflix joining the gaming industry. It would probably result in more games and hopefully more variety and diversity. My only fear with Netflix is that they would be as ruthless as they are with their television series as they are with their games. Meaning that they generally don't allow enough time for a show to cultivate an audience before they cancel it. That would be terrible for games.

Another benefit of them joining the gaming industry might be that they would import and translate games. (Possibly even offer subs for those that enjoy that)

As far as the name thing is concerned a lot of you all are nitpicking. So what he used his social media handle as the name for his game. In the movies and music industry many creative works are named after their creators. For example, Beyonce named her album after her, Tyler Perry also puts his name in front of just about everything he makes. It is a marketing strategy that is older than the day is long.

This is already common practice in the video game industry. Off the top of my head:
Sid Meier's Civilization
Tom Clancy Splinter cell
Tiger woods pga golf
Madden
Mike Tyson punch out
Tony Hawk
Dave Mirra
Dr kimishima brain training
Shaq- fu
50 cent bulletproof

Stop with the nonsense.

As for this game I like the artistry and effort the developer put forward and hope he finds some success to keep going.

Re: Video: Pokémon Fan Reimagines The Diamond And Pearl Remakes As Full 3D Games

This is a very ambitious trailer. It looks like it merged pokken with traditional game. I love that the players can move the Pokemon. I think this type of gameplay would suit Pokemon well. They just would have to make it more arcadey like powerstone but with Pokemon.

I don't know if it's just me though but I despise the doe eyed trainer characters. The art styles for humans kinda clashed with the environment.

Unfortunately I am not too optimistic that we will get anything close to this level with the new Pokemon open world game from the Pokemon company.

Re: Talking Point: Should Nintendo Do More DLC For Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Or Just Release Mario Kart 9 Already?

AvianBlue

Neither. Instead Nintendo can revive another one of their kart racing games like Diddy Long Racing developed exclusively by the Mario Kart team.

They can make DKR their arena battle kart racer. Imagine racing through levels inspired by the donkey Kong series with music composed by David Wise.

Plus the Nintendo fandom will be excited to get a game with the Kongs and maybe Kremlins
