@N64-ROX Whatever they make definitely isn't gonna be powerful... It will still lag behind the PS5 and Series X. Which is fine... it just has to be strong enough to get current gen ports and play Nintendo's own games just fine.
@anoyonmus If it stronger than a Xbox One X, it stronger than a Series S. The Series S is actually a weaker system in term of GPU and is on par with the PS4 Pro. It just has a better CPU.
There no reason the CPU in the next switch couldn't be on Par, but out pace the Series S and Xbox One X in GPU
@N64-ROX 2 generation behind? I can understand the current Switch being as weak as it currently is now... But the next generation Switch should not be nearly as weak. Mobile x86 and ARM devices have come along ways.
I could easily see the next Switch being stronger than a Series S or an Xbox One X.
It'll also be a while before we see a fully next gen CoD.
@Paraka Most of these high end mobile games aren't targeting the low budget, affordable phone buyer. Just look at something like genshin impact that was a struggle to run on even the best phones at it release.
There a reason we still haven't seen that game come to the Switch.
@Paraka Sure it not gonna be exclusive to Galaxy S35X Supreme and iPhone 300.6. But when you consider that even 4 year old flagship phone are still stronger than the Switch, and by the time this come out the gap would have widen significantly. Especially on the Apple side with them stuffing their M chips into mobile devices.
@retroman64 The thing is these Gamefreaks games don't even have a yearly release... Sure Game Freak released pokemon legends arceus this year. But before that... Their last release was Sword/Shield in 2019.
@Omedru 120hz is probably that wall for the majority of people. Anything higher, and you would have to be an esports player to really feel any actual difference.
@Banjo- "I think that the game was designed for PC"
While lacking very basic PC features? This is a game designed for PS4 with PS5 being the base for the next gen version. With the other platforms being ports.
@kalosn The portable aspect can only go so far when you now have stuff like the Steam Deck available to the majority of the public that now offers better performance than the Switch.
Right now I'm enjoying my playthrough. Feeling like some plucked right out of the 3DS/Vita era of games, so i haven't played something like this in a while.
I don't mind the lack of voice acting during major cutscenes... Don't know why that suddenly became an issue? Most japanese games tend to lack voice acting or has very little.
It sucks that Switch is suffering from performance issues... It definitely reinforce my decision to retire my Switch, and have the Steam Deck become my main handheld especially since I can play a local version of Kingdom hearts. Lol
Currently playing it right now on my steam deck... So far it okay, but I dont think it should have been priced at $60. Especially when you have CRISIS CORE -FINAL FANTASY VII- REUNION releasing in a couple months priced $50. Should have been a $40-50 game max.

@Paraka idk... Just cause it on mobile doesn't mean that they can scale it lower for Switch.
