Re: Wii U Selling 1.2 Games Per Console In North America

AmishThunder

Poor economy, higher price on the system, higher price on the games, and a bundled game that is more robust than Wii Sports.. I can see why most people are only buying 1 or 2 games. I bought 4 with my system, but really SMBU and Zombie U were the only 2 must haves for me.

Re: Capcom Has A Whole Year Of Mega Man Celebrations Planned

AmishThunder

Ohhhh, so the plan is to gauge how receptive PC gamers are to a fan-made game. That sounds like a very well thought out idea. Clearly, Capcom has their best people on this. I would use the same group of individuals that decided to put DLC on the disc; clearly they're the best in the business.

Re: Annoyed About Age Restrictions On The Euro Wii U eShop? Blame Germany

AmishThunder

@bobbysanders If you're going to ban Nintendo for supporting the laws of the country they're based in, here's a list of other companies that are based in Germany that you can also avoid for "supporting" censorship: Merck and Bayer (you'll be fine without medicine!), Adidas, Puma, Mercedes, Audi, BMW, VW, and the Deutsche Bank (you should probably avoid any business that ties with this bank as you don't want your money to get back to them!) You should probably avoid chocolate all together just to be safe.

Re: Review: Nintendo Land (Wii U)

AmishThunder

I think I'm the only person in the entire universe who can't get into this game. Don't get me wrong, it's great, but I just can't play it for more than an hour. I feel like it should have online multiplayer.

Re: Review: ZombiU (Wii U)

AmishThunder

I finally had a chance to play this game. Had to beat Mario first and, you know, make a living and stuff. It's a great game and a return to the roots of the genre.

Re: Wii U Software Discounts Hit Ahead of Black Friday, Analysts Weigh In

AmishThunder

@luminalace
The problem with that information from Gamestop is that:
1) They cut preorders off on the Wii U very early on (I believe it was within the first 48 hours).
2)Generally speaking the amount of people preordering games is up hundreds of percent over 6 years ago. Which also makes that information not entirely accurate either.

Unfortunately, there won't be accurate information until we see actual launch sales figures. Which I do believe are going to be very good and will reflect what you stated in your post.

Re: Wii U on Plenty of U.S. Christmas Lists

AmishThunder

I'd like to see how many in range of 20 - 29 and 30+ want a Wii U. I'm 34, and got mine on launch day; it brought back all the memories of getting my first NES, SNES, and N64. This is the most I've enjoyed a console launch since the SNES.

Re: Talking Point: The Nintendo Network ID's Next Big Step

AmishThunder

I'm sure that Nintendo wants to ensure that their network is secure and reliable before they start adding too many features. We'll see cloud features in a future update. I'd rather not have some features at first over having everything right away but the network crashing every 5 minutes.
