@Fandabidozi - My only non-forced shiny ever was a Rattata I found just south of Moomoo Farm...in HG/SS. I've played every game up to and including US/UM (except Yellow) to the tune of at least 150 hours per game and that's still my only shiny.
@Silly_G - People tend to use their favorites in multiple plays...my fiancée, for example, always uses a Nidoking if available. It also makes HM slavery tougher, since you'd burn through the usual suspects early on.
@FluffiestP1llow - The way I read it was the latter. In Red, he could use Pokémon A/B/C/D/E/F; any subsequent games wouldn't be able to use them.
It's gotta be a popularity contest...there is no way that Fennekin would be ranked that high in an effectiveness contest (FFS, it's a magic-user-type and it can barely learn non-Fire, non-Psychic moves...it can't even learn Thunderbolt, which can be taught to multiple non-Mages; Thunder Punch and Shock Wave, though, are allowed...which is just as baffling).
@DaCh33f - Unless the Grass starter becomes another Cleric (like Meganium), I'd see it end up as an event move on other appropriate Pokémon...Shaymin, Celebi, and the like.
I can understand the ire against the single island per Switch, but the anger about "no clear objectives" is inane...that's part and parcel of the entire AC series to date (well, main games...HHA may have a defined endgame, but I've not played it); the whole draw of the games is that there is no defined goal and one can keep playing as they want to for as long as they want to.
All in all, I feel that this is not the case (despite proof that Ditto have problems with transformations...since the original journey), but I can see where people are coming from.
Perhaps "Milo" is a Ditto that either went mega or learned the Dynamax stuff and that's why it's a better resemblance (even though it's not perfect).
@Silly_G - Dynamax Ditto! Also, many Ditto keep that expression after Transforming...note the anime appearances (dating back to the original journey) and that of the plushes.
@GrailUK - What good does it do to get a perfectly competitive event Pokémon when most competitive battles deny entry to those Pokémon? Why people can't be happy just receiving the Pokémon is beyond me...
How are people surprised by this? It's no different than the other event Pokémon given out via codes...it just so happens that the "code" involves buying a peripheral (that some were going to buy anyway...there was similar anger directed at the Poké Walkers for HG/SS) instead of just asking an employee for it.

Re: Attention All Pokémon Let's Go Poké Ball Plus Owners: For The Love Of God, Don't Ever Delete Your Save
@garfreek - They tend to shiny-lock event Pokémon anyway...either they all are or none are. This is no different.
Re: Attention All Pokémon Let's Go Poké Ball Plus Owners: For The Love Of God, Don't Ever Delete Your Save
@Devlind - Doesn't matter for the core games, honestly...why it matters now, I can't say.
