@Wolfgabe maybe because I've spent over $300 on digital games under the impression this was a rewards program for the present, not a year down the road when I probably won't have a Switch to benefit from this.
There's a very obvious reason why the majority of us aren't happy. We've invested in this just like we did with Club Nintendo, except now we're being offered complete trash for our hard earned money. Maybe you're ok with MyNintendo because you're not investing too much into it or you just don't care what happens to your coins, but don't think people are just going to be content with watching their money disappear.
When MyNintendo is still garbage in March go ahead and let me know.
Found the hidden Mii's only to be reminded afterwards that these coins will still never be used by me, and will most likely disappear into dust. MyNintendo is a tire fire that Nintendo won't put out. Thanks Ninty.
@Rontanamo_Bay so why aren't you complaining about the Ninja Five-O speedrun that was viewed by millions? You're being selfish. It's always going to be rare no matter how many people know about it.
@Rontanamo_Bay you literally answered your own question. You're whining that only the few who are "in the know" should be allowed to read about this. That's selfish and you're letting your collector mentality get the better of you.
Guess no one should review Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Shantae, Haunting Grounds, Rule of Rose, Dokapon Kingdom, etc
@kickerofelves i do 3DS reviews for Christ Centered Gamer. I've been with them since March and it's a pretty nice environment even though I'm not a Christian. I'd recommend checking out my Shin Megami Tensei 4 Apocalypse review if you do check out the site my name is Benjamin Winter btw
@kickerofelves first and foremost, great review. Ninja Five-O doesn't get enough attention due to its rarity. And yeah I love GDQ because the runners are all at the top of their game. Ninja Five-O is definitely not easy to run, but it's not easy to beat casually either
How dare NL review a Nintendo game. Really? This game has always been rare, God forbid it gets some attention. For those unaware, the value has actually been increasing these past few months after a year of decreasing. It was going up no matter what and NL reviewing it has very little to do with that.
It was also ran at GDQ, which was viewed by millions, should they be held responsible for bringing awareness to it as well?
@Julien very nice. I got a mint cart off eBay in a lot of 4 GBA games. Total was 4 bucks. I've yet to hear of someone finding a cheaper copy of Ninja Five-O than me
@Rogue76 good luck, most sellers know the value of this game.
I don't even really consider The Magic Hammer to be in the same vein as Battleminer or CC though. It's an adventure game with building options whereas the other two are building games with some adventure parts. At least that's how it felt to me. It's definitely the weakest of the three though.
@Meowpheel I mean I spent 80 hours building a world of my own in Battleminer, whereas in CC I looked at some trees and building just wasn't as intuitive.
Agreed, both had lackluster adventure modes. I'll take ants over generic enemies though. There were honestly a few times where an ant would sneak up behind me and that actually scared me haha
@SmoochyTea For those of us actually living in the present, My Nintendo is a disappointment. I, for one, am not holding onto what the future has in store. Coins don't last forever, just like my enthusiasm.
Ok it's obvious NoA has no clue what they're doing with My Nintendo.
Your fans are outraged and upset with your program, how do you fix it? Let's offer them digital clothing for an app no is playing anymore. BRILLIANT!!!
I'll be jumping ship to Microsoft or Sony next year.
@Damo i hope you know I was being sarcastic. Everyone and their mother has asked Nintendo these key questions. Those are like the first and most basic questions to ask that never get a straight answer. Nintendo has always been tight lipped about their products.
You guys member when Club Nintendo was a thing and waifus wasn't a word used on a daily basis? We all need some member berries. Maybe Nintendo can give us a discount coupon for some.
@RoboBubble that reminds me of a funny point in Nintendo history. When MyNintendo started Circle Entertainment asked us on Twitter if we would pay the extra penny for their future games instead of the normal $4.99. Everyone said yes just so we could get the gold coins. Kinda funny that we wanted to pay more to get coins that we literally can't use.
@PlywoodStick rebuilding a program from the ground up is what got us in this mess. They tried reinventing the wheel instead of simply modernizing Club Nintendo. They had a fantastic program for years. That's really what is the problem most of us have with MyNintendo.
@Wolfgabe "The problem is you people are comparing a free rewards program to the likes of Xbox live Gold and Playstation+ which are primarily subscription based services. With a free rewards program you cant expect to always strike gold with offerings. Also from what I have hear PS+ has kinda went downhill."
Wow you're right, it's not like Nintendo had a rewards program prior to My Nintendo, for about 8 years. And you're the only one comparing My Nintendo to other programs. This isn't a subscription service if you hadn't noticed.
@Wolfgabe that's great, but you're missing what My Nintendo represents right now. They want our money now, and they're not rewarding anyone but the causal Nintendo player. We're allowed to be unhappy with what My Nintendo has been for the last six months. You know, the same amount of time for those coins we so eagerly wanted in the beginning now begin to disappear before our eyes. Next month I lose 500 platinum coins and 10 gold coins. Why? Because the paltry selection isn't adequate to offer me something I can actually use. I don't want discounts for games I already own. They're sitting on thousands of games they could offer us, and we get the TP Picross extended and old themes brought back. This is garbage. No wonder they let RCMADIAX and Skunk sell on their systems. They stopped caring when Iwata died.
@Wolfgabe clearly I'm aware they're trying to expand their program to include more things. But is it working for the core Nintendo audience? No. Is it benefiting the person that plays once a month? Yeah.
We can all see the bigger picture, most are looking at the here and now. As a long time fan, and I mean 20+ years, I hate to see Nintendo go this route. I don't want a MyCoke rewards program, and I'm sure not many else do either.
@Wolfgabe their customers are already dissatisfied with their current offerings, do you honestly believe people are going to pay a huge amount of money to go to a theme park just to get a discount off of entry? That would sink My Nintendo. Why is it so hard to offer us video games through a video game companies reward program? The answer is they don't know what they're doing. They should've left CN up until the NX was released if that was their plan

Re: Review: Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion (Switch)
@Dualmask you're thinking of Secret of the Nameless Kingdom. It was on most systems not just PS3
Re: Review: Gal*Gun 2 (Switch)
Boobs. 10/10
Re: My Nintendo Rewards Site Gets A Fetching Facelift
@Wolfgabe because I wasn't a member of Club Nintendo for like 7 years right?
Your point is irrelevant. I'm done arguing with you. See ya.
Re: My Nintendo Rewards Site Gets A Fetching Facelift
@Wolfgabe " I havent really invested in it much because I am waiting to see what they do with it down the line."
Then don't speak out for the rest of us when you can't even see where we're coming from.
"Frankly I find there are other things worth more complaining about than a free rewards program."
Then go complain about better stuff, please, go away.

Re: My Nintendo Rewards Site Gets A Fetching Facelift
@Wolfgabe please inform us how it was obviously designed for a console we knew nothing about?
Re: My Nintendo Rewards Site Gets A Fetching Facelift
@Wolfgabe "It's likely a sign they they are preparing for a more extensive overhaul once Switch releases."
I'm pretty sure that's what every optimist on NL has been saying since MyNintendo launched. I'm amazed Nintendo got you guys to hold out this long.

Re: Review: Dangerous Road (3DS eShop)
This isn't such a bad game. It could be so much worse, like a game from RCLAZYASS or any other asset flippers attempts at "video games."
Re: New My Nintendo Rewards Include European Launch Discounts
I've said it before and I'll say it again, ahem, WE ALL MISS CLUB NINTENDO!
Re: Rejoice! Link's New Hairdo Arrives as Miitomo Award on My Nintendo
No hype
Re: Nintendo Download: 17th November (North America)
I'll be trying out SwapDoodle for sure.
Re: New North American My Nintendo Rewards Carry A Major Metroid Theme
@Alshain01 it's an ok discount for a good game
Re: Review: Ninja Five-O (GBA)
@Rontanamo_Bay dude you sound like a whiny millennial. You're the only one here having an emotional breakdown over a review.

Re: Here Are Your New My Nintendo Rewards
Color me surprised that I wake up to see new discounts on MyNintendo. This is everything I could have ever asked for!!!
I love watching my coins expire because of incompetency. Someone let me know when something worthwhile actually appears.

Re: Big John Games Explains the Delay for Cube Creator 3D's Newest Update
@Meowpheel i mean if we're comparing it to Minecraft it's incredibly limiting whereas with Battleminer I've never seen the edge of the map.
In motion it may look better, but when you hit the edge of the map after a few minutes what good is it?
Re: Big John Games Explains the Delay for Cube Creator 3D's Newest Update
@Meowpheel Cube Creator just feels too small when compared to Battleminer.
The Magic Hammer wasn't very good in my opinion. It lacked a way to motivate players to keep playing.
Re: Big John Games Explains the Delay for Cube Creator 3D's Newest Update
@Meowpheel I honestly enjoyed Battleminer more. It feels like a more spacious environment to build in.
Re: Nintendo Download: 20th October (North America)
So Nintendo isn't telling outlets what will be on sale in North America. Great.

Re: Nintendo Download: 13th October (North America)
@SMW it runs a little less smooth, but it's a great game for the system, regardless of which 3DS you have. I recommend it.
Re: Thanks to My Nintendo You Can Now Get That Miitomo Lemon Hat That You Always Wanted
@Billsama I'll use the same rope Nintendo is using to kill itself with
Re: Nintendo Download: 13th October (North America)
Gurumin 3D is great. I highly advise New 3DS owners to get it. The original 3DS doesn't handle it as well.
And in other news My Nintendo is still a heap of garbage.
Re: Thanks to My Nintendo You Can Now Get That Miitomo Lemon Hat That You Always Wanted

I'm still invested in SMT4:Apocalypse so no time for Monster Hunter.

Re: Weirdness: Desperation for NX Details Even Makes an Old Forum Post Interesting
@Damo i don't think he's joking... Because yeah no one has tried to ask Nintendo when their next console is releasing, or for hardware specs. 😶
Re: Editorial: Reminiscing on Hoarding StreetPass Hits, and Why Any NX 'Portable' Should Keep Them Alive
@Mario_Fart that's dedication. Mine sits at about 340 out of 347 games/apps.
Re: Editorial: Reminiscing on Hoarding StreetPass Hits, and Why Any NX 'Portable' Should Keep Them Alive
I never saw the appeal to SteetPass, or Mii Plaza in general. I could live without it honestly.
Now SpotPass on the other hand is a great feature that should've been implemented into more games.

Re: My Nintendo Adds More Rewards for Discounts in Europe
@PtM i know. That's what makes the whole thing worse. We didn't get a single new reward.

@Wolfgabe nice deflection. Looks like we're done here
