Metroid Dread What To Do After You Get The Plasma Beam

So, you've been playing Metroid Dread, you've got the Plasma Beam and now you can blast multiple enemies with one shot, pierce the armour of robotic foes and, more importantly, open up those green plasma doors you've been seeing everywhere.

The next step on our journey is just north of where we got our newest ability and we're going to blast the green plasma door you can see in the map and pic below and then follow the route we've indicated in order to make it to a nearby boss door. Parry the creature blocking you path and head on in here to face off against the Chozo Soldier — if you need help here hit up our boss guide for tips.

Once you've dealt with the Chozo, head on out of this room to the left. Above you, you'll find a set of tunnels that you can head into to grab a collectible. Once you've done this head on out to the left once again and hop on the shuttle back to Ghavoran where it seems the area's blue E.M.M.I. has been roused from its slumber.

Back in Ghavoran we're heading as indicated below, jump into the network station to have a quick chat with Adam, and then head on to the left to enter the area's E.M.M.I. zone. Form here head up and right to blow open a green plasma door.

Keep on moving right now and you'll come to a map room where you can download the nearby area and get your game saved. From the map room head left and blow out a block at floor level to enter the beam door. We're going right back into the E.M.M.I. area here, straight to the left, back out then up and in again from the location in the pic below.

Now head right and we'll come to a charge beam door which we'll open up, keeping an eye out for that blue E.M.M.I. at all times, to drop into a large area full of mushroom platforms. Drop to the very bottom here, make your way to the right and use your grapple beam to grab the magnet pad and get up into the save room to record your progress.

Now head out of the save room to your right and follow the simple path we've laid out below. There's no way to get lost here, just head around and up, then head left and go through the morph ball tunnel, blow any blocks out of your way and drop down into the water. Head right here and you'll come to a morph ball launcher that blasts you right into a statue room to collect your next upgrade, the Spin Boost. Good job!
