No I'm sure you didn't make it up. I just tried it on about 5 Barroths and not once did it work for me so technically I proved you wrong but maybe (like I said earlier), it's just me and my bad luck.

@Machu - 4 Star, eh? You need to get the frog outfit for your piggie! It's so freakin' sweet, it's unreal!

@Tech101: It was funny actually, I hadn't prepared at all and was out of potions and half dead. There I was foraging for herbs in desperation and the beasty just dropped dead. I was like "huh?!", ran over to the corpse to find my saviour, the Jaggi.

@JayArr: Oooh, that sounds so very kewt! I'll be going crazy with these Rare Commodities. I want all the stuffz and I want that Fishing Fleet Award!

I just realised, I got a Vermilion Scale which according to the wiki you only get from Rathalos. Ha! I so thought I was fighting Rathian, no wonder it seemed harder than it should of. Doh! I'll read the forecast more carefully next time.

OH man, I went out to capture the Qurupeco. All was going well until the Rathios (Rathalos?) came down and pwned me. I still managed to capture it on my first try though, haha. Barroth, I'm coming for you next!

Gah. King's Frills are such a pain to acquire. >:[

@Dazran303: That was a great fight! The bit were we both stop to take potions then get pile-drived was funny (apart from the bit were I feinted, cripes). And we even had a little duel mid-battle. Thanks for posting that man, it was fun too watch, yay. I'm kinda lookin' forward to the egg one. I'll make sure I check more of your vids out tomorrow. And hopefully see you online!

@Machu: Woah, you have the Rhenoplos armor? How far in the game are you? I just got it myself, and I'm on the Barroth hunt in local play.

@pix: That vid was from at least two weeks ago, I was pretty noobish in that vid compared to now. D: The Rhenoplos suit (which I hate) still gets used for Raths as it is good against Dragon & Fire, but now it's up to lvl 6. Oh, and to answer your question I've seen the final credits, but I'm still no-where near done. FAR FROM IT!

This afternoon (after tutoring) I am going to really get back into this. I haven't had long to play it, and I'm itchin' to slay a Gobul.

Hellzyeah, took down the Barroth on my first try. (solo, that is) Lance is definitely the best weapon against him because of the shield.

Do Gobuls come to the Mogal Forest? I need to get some Gobul Hides/Spikes/etc quickly.

Also, curious, is the Ludroth armor the best choice for the Tundra?

Hav`nt seen any. Not sure. Almost done with offline to.

@ Pix - Gobuls do not show up in Moga Forest. You have to get those parts through missions. Also, the Ludo set got me through all the 4 Star missions. Rathian can do some damage with her fireballs but other than that you should be good.

On temporary MH3 hiatus while I blast through SMG2. I'm still having serious hunter cravings though.
