Agh I need 2 more gobul spikes to get the Anata Boneblade (my only longsword I can currently get)

Just need one more tag to forge a Hellhunter Jacket. Need to finish my 3 star quests too. Just gotta hunt and capture Uragaan and deliver the Paw Passes.

I'm having a f***ing terrible time trying to capture a great jaggi. Either I don't weaken him enough or I kill him. So frustrating.

Once you see him limp, cap him.

@pixelman... you can also forge a decoration for your armor that will show you exactly when you can capture. I havent captured anything yet, as I just kill lol.

Anyone know of a place where I can farm 4 Killer Beetles? Its all I need to upgrade my Switch Axe and I cant find them ANYWHERE!

Any tips on beating the Barroth, he's the toughest dude yet.
On a side note, I've put 16 hours on the game, but I'm on HR. 1!

I know. Last time I got him limping, but when I found him in the next area he wasn't limping any more. I figured, well, he healed up, so I gave him a few more hits and he died. I was so mad.

Yeah, hate it when that happens, especially when they go into "rage mode"...confuses me all the time. T_T

I just can't wait till I can kill these great jaggi b@stards in one hit. I'm going to have so much fun then.

@pixelman You'll never reach the point where you can kill a Great Jaggi in one hit (no weapon in the game is that powerful), but they do become a cinch later on. As for capture problems, maybe you should get the Capture Guru skill, it tells you when monsters are weak enough to be captured. I use it when we have problems in capture missions.

Monster Hunter Tri is easily the best online game for the wii. This game also has some of the best graphics on the wii. This is shown when you first boot up the game and you see a beautiful cut-scene of a stampede of monsters running on the side of a cliff.

@Pixelman Even when he goes to another area he is still weak enough. Just set your trap and have 2 tranqs bombs ready to throw.

Man, I`ve been getting Rathian and Rathalos plates like a mad man. And I know they are extremely rare. Anyone here have the hellhunter jacket? I could make one and equip it but I`m to attached to my uragaan armor.

....W-w-what? How are you getting them like crazy? I need a plate! XD

Any tips on the Barroth?

Get Mega Potions, Potions, and whetstone for supplies along with traps.
Dodge his running attack and just leave him alone when he's shaking off the mud. If he's using his tail whip just go in between his legs and have at it, he won't hit you.

Holy crap, the switchaxe is awesome! D: I'm going to take on the Qurupecco next, then I'm done with the 3 star quests.

No! Leg it in there and try to get underneath him, you can get loads of hits while he is doing his mud-dance. If you do get hit by mud, just take some Cleanser quick and no harm done. _{50/50 success rate, but worth the risk}

Also, when he charges, avoid his right hand side or you'll get a tail in the face. Stick to his left and you can smack him up the moment he stops.
