@Pixelman... right behind where it takes you to the little spot on the right in I think its Area 10, turn around headed back the way you come in and you will see a little rock on the left and its got an endless supply of worms. You can still catch the Goldenfish with worms, but luring them up with Goldenfish Bait is the best. Snakebee Larva is found under the tall leaves where you harvest honey and Fireflies are easy to catch as well.

So I got in 22 HOURS since Friday afternoon and Im calling it quits until next weekend lol. What a great game. There is just so much detail slammed into this game. The game is beautiful is some areas, especially the sunken woods (not sure on exact name). To be on the Wii they really pushed some incredible, lush enviroments out of the little box. The monsters have such fluid and elaborate animations. Heck I can go on and on. You guys already know. This game is making my New Black Wii fit right into my Game Room very nicely!
... I do with the Region Lockout wasnt there, though. Only gripe I have

You know what. I just wasted 40 minutes trying to catch some stupid goldenfish. And then I could only catch 1.
Anger!
Combine Fireflies and Snakebee Larva and you'll get goldenfish bait. The quest will be a snap! They can be found in the Moga Woods. Just go harvest honey from the bee hives for the larva and go to area 4, to get fireflies(where you went to mine ore and all that junk).

...I've been forgetting to ask...so, um, what was the whole deal with before the release. Like, it was first supposed to be a PS3 game, then they decided to move onto the Wii and all that.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@BellGoRiiing: I believe they said the development costs would be too high on PS3, and Sony weren't willing to help out.
@sumba9763: I don't know any specific tips, as I just spank him till he dies. Take ten potions, ten mega-potions, sonic bombs and an electric trap so as to keep him still for a bit. Good luck!
@All: I finished it, wooh! An awesome ending to an awesome game. Now I can stop ignoring online. Yay!
Hi Just joined the site and this is my first ever post, but what a game to post about.
Spent 80+ hours so far and just reached level 3(HR18) quests on line.
Need some help though. Anyone know how to get an Altaroth Jaw?
Welcome to NL Retro! To my knowledge, Altaroth jaws can only be carved. But every time I kill one, they just shatter to pieces.
Welcome to the annoying world of bug carving! I sepnt an hour carving out Monster Broth last night. The trick is to poison them to death. Be it through bombs, bowgun, or a weak poison weapon. This will leave their bodies available for carving.
Jaws are a very rare drop (12% I believe). So good Luck!
Edit: Nice sneaky ninja stealth post Machu! Beat me to the punch.
Thanks for the advice. I noticed that if you wait for them to eat something and then kill them you get a sparkle pickup thing, so I was just doing that. I will try to use a weaker weapon or the poison technique.
Anyone have tips for Gigginox? Is there a poison resistant armour?
Advice for Gigginox? Ergh, hide! I don't know about armour, I just take a full stack of Antidotes and tell myself I'm not coming home with any. I hate that cave dwelling freak! D:
Bring a Fire Weapon it seriously jacks him up. Light the torches in the caves. It more or less keeps the little Giggi off you. Be prepared (this applies to every battle). Bring 10 Pots, 10 Mega-pots, 10 Andidotes, couple Steaks, Hot Drinks. Also, bring Dung Bombs for when he does the purple bar sucker thing.
