Balatro? Awesome game, but I already have a Switch copy. I might click "add to library" just to force Playstation to cut a check to the developer, LocalThunk. And publisher, Playstack.
@AnVold Yep, some stunning graphical fidelity on display here, though I suppose we really shouldn't be too surprised given R*'s previous efforts over the years. I'll try to remain a little cautious until we get some actual gameplay footage but on the visual front, things appear to be coming along very nicely, even by cutscene standards. A 40fps-60fps option for PS5 Pro would be very welcome though, as I'm guessing the PS5 version will be 30 based on this trailer.
There's still so many questions about the gameplay mechanics of course, but hopefully a future third trailer can answer this to some degree.
@VoidofLight Hmm, I'm not sure the world is quite ready for three figure pricing for base games just yet, haha, but I could certainly see 90 being a thing. I guess if any game can feasibly justify it, it'd be this one. Regardless of price, I just hope it's worth it for everyone looking to play when it finally hits in 12 months. Hopefully the world's economies will have stabilised a little by then and publishers face some backlash to the recent price increases, making it less of an issue, but I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. Patience is an incredible virtue to have for us R* fans, that's for sure!
@Jalex_64 At this point I can't really see the economy stabilizing much. Also the leading rumor is that Rockstar is looking to charge a flat 100 for this game.
I'm not really a fan of the company or GTA itself really. Just kinda waiting for the storm to blow over so that game companies will announce games again, instead of Rockstar making the industry hostage until their game releases- like rumors suggest.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@VoidofLight I can kind of agree on the economy point, though it perhaps doesn't hurt to be optimistic when the stakes are this high for the wider world. Things can change quickly, as we saw with the tariff U-turn last month.
As for those headline grabbing $100.00 rumours, for me it's difficult to see them as anything more than click bait right now, unless it's coming from a reliable source I can trust. Of course it's possible but there are a lot of other factors at play here that will dictate its likelihood. R* themselves probably don't even have a firm figure in mind as yet.
Re. the hostage thing, I'm sure it was a relief for many studios to see this game delayed until May next year. However, as much as I can fault R* for past decisions, I don't think they ever intended to dictate the rollout of games for the rest of the industry. This is just what happens when you produce games with high production standards, that people want and that generate so much media interest. That's not really their fault and the firm 2026 release date they provided should at least make this a moot point for now.
I expect, like you, the rest of the calendar year will fill out nicely because of this, making 2025 all the more fascinating a spectacle. There will no doubt be lots of new and original announcements to look forward to in the months ahead, not least from Nintendo, who I'm sure will have more than a few plans for their favorite Italian plumber on his 40th anniversary.
@Magician Yes, it’s a nice shakeup of the character dynamics for the GTA universe, for sure. I maybe wasn’t the biggest fan of V’s protagonists, despite really enjoying the environments and missions, but fingers crossed they can produce the full package here and give us something special 👍
Picked up Dying Light 2 while it's on deep discount, $20. I love the first game, haven't played through the base game half a dozen times now. But it seems DL2 was not received as well as the first game. Techland removed the mini-map, making runners more difficult to identify and guard against. And the weapon destruction was removed, but the cost to repair weapons is immense.
I'm only a few hours in and I can sympathize with those complaints.

Guys, I’m thinking of buying Spider man GOTY edition for my ps5 with the sale going on. Really want to play that game, but the game the went between my dad and uncle got lost somewhere in between. What do you guys think? Or should I wait for the 30$ Miles Morales ultimate edition that comes by pretty often recently?

So I finally got the God of War and Uncharted games to play on Ps3.
I mostly got Ps3 to play Ps1 and 2 games, but if I'm gonna get PS3 games, those seemed like good choices so I at least have some collection of PS3 games for my PS3, it feels silly if its just a box for downloaded games and only the 6 or 7 PS3 games I've had for ages.
Probably the only Ps3 games that particularly interest me otherwise are Tokyo Jungle and 3D Dot Game Heroes, which is I guess what happens when Xbox 360 begins to kill the very concept of exclusives.
Crashes are one of the main features in Bethesda games. It would feel off if the game is not crashing, it might ruin your experience.
IKR
Usually the crashes don't occur until I've loaded my house with flawless gems.
But on the Switch version, after the Anniversary edition patch, has my game crashing whenever I walk away from a dragon and/or fight a dragon mask owner. Kind of rough.
