@TheFrenchiestFry It's interesting how horrifying mascot-type characters often look when you start seeing their fleshy hands and feet.
Seeing a fanart of Sonic without shoes on when I was a kid was mildly traumatizing the first time. Then, I saw that this was only the tip of a VERY deep iceberg, and I pretty much nope'd out of certain corners of the internet forever.
@Snaplocket I'm quite fond of all the Chibi games, really. In a perfect world we’d get a sequel for the Switch. It’s partially owned by Namco and they’re cozy buddies with Nintendo so maybe? I think it’s pretty unlikely since Chibi Robo seems to have a negative stigma about it now. I think Zip Lash would’ve failed whether it was a proper Chibi Robo game or not.
@TheFrenchiestFry yeah it really needed the gloves to hide the people hands. They’re all I notice now.
@Ralizah haha! I had a similar experience but with Final Fantasy O.o internet lesson learned
It really just depends on how realistic the character proportions are, for me. If we're talking Final Fantasy, then Sephi and Squall are fine with regard to... ahem... fan art, but the moment I see something related to Zidane, we're back to creepy town, since everyone in FF9 looks like the mutant offspring of humans and classic Disney mascots.
@Ralizah no judgement from me, Sephiroth is a beautiful, beautiful boy. In my case it was too much when I was too young. Thank god it wasn’t Zidane or I wouldn’t want to play Final Fantasy or go to the zoo ever again.

Give me a heads-up if you're going to send a request please.
@Losermagnet Ah, the good old days of being completely innocent of the seedier aspects of human life. I managed to trick both of my sisters, at different times, into taking me to see the South Park movie when I was ten years old (much to their subsequent horror upon actually watching the movie, lmao), and there were aspects of that film that just... didn't compute with my child brain at the time. At all. That became a bit of a hinderance in certain peer group settings, though: I recall a school trip where we stayed for a night at some sort of camp, and, after lights went out, the children in my room took turns telling the dirtiest jokes they could think of. Anyway, one of the punchlines was so puzzling to me that I openly expressed my confusion over it, only to be met with a resounding chorus of mocking laughter from literally everyone else in the room. Needless to say, I dove under my blankets and didn't say another word until I arrived back home the next day.
It looks like a bunch of website domain names referencing what I assume to be more Persona spinoff games have been renewed, including notably a trademark for "P5U", which shares a similar acronym to the Japanese title of Persona 4 Arena (P4U - P4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena)

@TheFrenchiestFry It would fit in with the rumours of Persona coming to Xbox, Persona 4 Arena came to both PS3 and 360 so if a Persona 5 Arena happened it would likely be on XB1 and/or Series X|S. Then Xbox fans can experience the same pain Switch fans experienced when Joker came to Smash.
Sadly I don't see Sony letting go of main series Persona and the PC release of Persona 4 Golden (and any other main series Persona games) is because Sony doesn't consider PC as competition.
I don't want to admit it, but I've been a bad fan. I never played Strange Journey Redux because at the time I was living abroad and hadn't much with me and by the time I moved again it was already next to impossible to find, finally got around to downloading it today while it was on sale, what am I getting myself into?
As a side note it's so weird to boot up the 3DS again, haven't touched it since Samus Returns.
@mr_somewhere It's probably the most "out there" of the main entries
Its gameplay is pure classic MegaTen down to the first person perspective but it's a super cosmic-level story dealing with stuff like black holes and otherworldly anomalies found in rural modern areas like Antarctica

I imagine reviews are probably going to start rolling out next week ahead of the game dropping for Digital Deluxe owners. They're probably under some sort of embargo right now

I'll never understand why they sell the game's digital deluxe with the promise of playing it earlier. If the game's ready to be played, why can't they make it available to everyone?
