@JaxonH You have 300 games and I guarantee 200 of those are vaporware, 75 of those are ports of games from other systems (Nintendo or not), 20 of them are "okay" games, and 5 are what people buy a Switch for. The Switch library is terrible if you actually look at the entire shelf.

And yes the Switch is a 9th generation console meaning its competing with the Series X and PS5, it already lost because 3 years in there are only 5 games anybody wants to play on the thing. It's the most powerful gaming portable because its the ONLY gaming portable. Dedicated portable gaming is a dead market and honestly was just a desperate attempt from nintendo to pass off the Switch, the obvious successor to the 3DS that was never originally intended to be a home console, as a home console after the Wii U flop.

You say there is no war but like the Wii era when it killed everything Nintendo fans sure were praising about how it "WON". Now that their consoles are D Level in hardware, specs, and features they aren't competing any more... yeah right..

Ran into an odd audio glitch while playing Daemon X Machina tonight. During the middle of a boss fight the music & sound effects shut off, with only dialogue remaining (the issue persisted out of the mission, with certain sound effects & music missing from the hub area & menues). Probably something that'll be fixed when I start it back up.

Anyhow, now that I'm deep into it (and it looks like I'm closing in on the end), I quite like it. The story is nonsense & has way too many characters to possibly care about, but the core gameplay loop is fun & solid, and the performance is much improved compared to that original demo, with not a frame drop in sight no matter how much stuff is flying around or how large a boss is.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

@JaxonH Okay man. BTW I know you know I am right because you're playing Witcher 3 on Switch but also the better PC version.

It is a triumphant feat to put Witcher 3 on Switch even if it does look bad. that game is amazing.

@RR529 Yeah, the gameplay loop was done well. I wish the story and delivery of it was more sensible. But it’s definitely a title I won’t be forgetting about any time soon.

Loved Daemom X Machina. Even repurchased on PC since it also has gyro. Even though the game looks very similar on Switch. It’s a game where I wanted to support the devs.

Not sure how fun it would be without the Gyro aiming. That was the single best decision they made in their response to feedback.

Speaking of glitches. I just got to the point of no return in The Witcher 3. Was playing on PC, and he kept jumping off the boat on his own! I thought well maybe the boat is damaged so the game makes you automatically jump off or maybe because I’m close to sure this is just a point it makes you get out... but nope. Got on shore and Geralt would jump whenever I pressed forward.

Shot to save over to Switch Lite, and controls work fine. Exited and started up again on PC, now it’s fixed.

The Switch seems like it has alot of problems and glitches with ported over games. not to mention how downgraded they are..

Well, that's the risk you take when buying ports from the current generation.

Speaking of Vaporware, by it's actual definition, nice to see Roller Champions got acknowledged as a thing that exists.

Shame Beyond Good and Evil 2 and God's and Monsters are still totally MIA from Ubisoft though.

Just what exactly are you expecting from the Switch? The platform is built on a 2015 mobile chipset that is intentionally clocked down so that AAA games don't burn through the battery life in less than a few hours.

Switch Physical Collection - 1,536 games (as of December 14th, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)

Sorry that I interfere in your conversation, but I can tell about that I definetly not expecting from port even on weak mobile console. I completed Kill la Kill version for Switch recently and 30 fps is not the biggest problem of this port. It has a long-long loading screens and very often crashes. I even watched one video in Youtube, because a game is always crashed on it and I must skip it, that continue playing. Man, this is horrible. I may enjoy this game much more, if I played it on other platform.
In my opinion, that Switch version of Wolfenstein 2 and Withcer 3 must never exist, because it disfigured original games. But it is only my opinion.

@Anvold Lol uh... I mean, I get not playing them. But claiming Witcher 3 on Switch should never exist to deny everyone who enjoys it from playing it just cause you don't like it is pretty selfish, y'know? It's a really good port with little to no glitches and the ability to configure the graphics as you like, and even lets you take your PC save on the go.

Not saying you have to like it, but claiming it's mere existence is a blight to be extinguished is definitely hyperbole.

No need to apologize, we're all just conversing here.

As for the Switch's long load times? The Switch's bandwidth (25GB/s) is its biggest weakness. It's a bottleneck that won't be alleviated. Not even if Nintendo were to introduce a new iteration of the current Switch, a Switch Pro, or a Switch 2.

And the Switch version of Wolfenstein 2 and Witcher 3 must not exist? shrug Some folks don't have the means to play whatever they want, whenever they want. For some, the Switch may be their only platform. Would you expect them to never play those games, ever? It seems cold and callous to deny them that opportunity.

@Magician yes. I feel like that 1/3 of all time, that I spent playing in this version I saw only loading screens. So I decided never buy a modern multiplatform games on Switch. But exclusives and Wii U ports works good on it.

@link3710, @Magician as I said, it is only my opinion and nothing more. You can agree or disagree with it. But I still think, that if console can't run normally a port of game, then just let it go and not make it worse. Soap and 480p is evil even on small Switch screen. I don't think, that make a beautiful games look bad is good thing. And it cost much more then cheap and better versions for other platforms. I think, that it is not right.

Spent an unhealthy amount of time playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon today.

Got lost in recruiting new Pokemon, since the overhaul to that system is massive. All purchasable friend areas available from the get go, recruit more allies than before at once, team set up is way easier, and can be done before each dungeon on a single screen.

If you dont have a friend area opened, you can still recruit a Pokemon, and the game tells you what area you need, so if you have a certain item you can do buy that area from within the dungeon. If you dont, they'll leave your team at the end and give you a cash reward.

New things to do in dungeons like high treasure runs, Strong Foes for great rewards. The job variety is also greater.

You can access item and money storage before each dungeon when setting up your team.

The change to hunger means that you can swamp to control any one of your permanent team members on the fly, and your hunger doesn't go down if you aren't in direct control of that Pokemon.

Oh, and now any Pokemon you have recruited but not on jobs with you, now gain EXP too. Had a few Pokemon back at base level up while I was on dungeons levelling up myself. Seems there is Global EXP now, which also means recruiting isn't totally pointless or a huge grind anymore!

Question...does anyone know how to safely get a tempered glass protector off of a switch? My ac adapter apparently nicked it in my bag. It isn't horrible but I shelled out for the extra nice protector for a reason (DQ Switch) and the sight of it may slightly drive me nuts. sigh.

@Ryu_Niiyama One of those temporary (all day, 7-day, etc) bus passes. Or something thin enough, even thinner than a credit card, say a piece of paper (preferably thick paper). Just nudge it in between the screen protector and the screen itself and watch the magic unfold before your very eyes. That's how I get my cracked screen protectors off my various devices.

You could use a credit card I think, but you just have to be careful getting it between the SP and the screen. Main thing is to get something thin that can fit in between the space I'm talking about.

God first.
