@Ninfan The IR sensor on the right joycon? It's used for stuff like Labo, some minigames in 1, 2, Switch, motion controls in some games (like motion gun reloading in RE Revelations), etc. You can also use it to check your pulse in Ring Fit Adventure. It's a cool bit of technology that Nintendo has struggled to use effectively.
Been playing the Persona 5 Scramble JP demo, and I’m loving it.
It feels almost exactly like a mainline Persona game. Shockingly so. The main difference is the combat, but the combat is fun in this game too, it’s just a different style. There’s something pretty awesome about beating up a bunch of SMT/Persona enemies.
As for performance, looks great, runs great... there’s a few scenes were there seems to be quite a bit of aliasing, strangely only in a few scenes. As soon as I got control of the character passed the velvet room it was fine.
Handheld mode is also solid. Looks almost as good as Tokyo mirage sessions.
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
So my SO finally got a new pair of joycon! It was odd, they were $10 less at Walmart than anywhere else. $70 rather than $80. And the Pro was $60, which actually felt reasonable for the first time ever.
He got the Pink and Green ones, which are stunning to look at. I was tempted to get my own new pair, but decided to hold off. I might just get a shell replacement kit instead
I don't get why Nintendo struggle so much to improve Switch online. I get that they want to be unique, but doing that means they won't offer things on Switch Online that Sony and Microsoft offer on their subscription services. Nintsndo being different for the sake of being different is not helping their subscription service. It is difficult to have cloud saves for every game and have free games every month? Or is it that difficult for nintendo to be normal with their subscription service?
@DannyBoi One of them was because users were unable to download the previous system update so they had to fix their update distribution system. The other one is a mystery.
Nintendo doesn't want to have good internet is why. It's a cultural thing. They don't want people doing things online.
@link3710 Why are Nintendo against having good internet? Surely better internet/subscription service would make them more profit. And they need to stop being deadly quiet on things. It really is not helping them.
Honestly, I'm more concerned about games announced last year as early 2020 titles that haven't had a release date yet.

Just to name a couple. I'm sure there is more that were pegged as early 2020 not in directs
@DannyBoi For the former, there's a mix of things. VC has a bad rep due to an utter lack of moderation. Private messaging they're afraid of predators using it. The cloud saves issue is due to them trying to prevent cheating. It's all about their reputation.
As for the deadly quiet, you need to readjust your thinking there. Nintendo is one of the most open and communicative companies out there. I get that you want more, but when you look at basically any other company and they're far less open with their plans, you can't expect much more.
@link3710 So they are trying to protect their family friendly image? I get that, but if allowing cloud save did increase cheating, would it really be that bad for their image? Like affect investors confidence/shares drop bad?
@DannyBoi It's probably wouldn't, but that's not the point. In Japan, it's expected that a company will select the best possible experience and cater it to you. As opposed to the west, where it's expected that a company will provide you the options to select a gameplay experience that matches your taste. It's this cultural gap that causes issues, and is also why these missing features are far less of an issue in their home country.
@Grumblevolcano This is what I call good news!!! Just put it all on the cart otherwise there is no difference between half-cartridge and code in a box.
Obviously the reason it's delayed is sad news, but I'm glad they're going with the cart. And the delay is good for me with my lineup I have the next 8 week's.
@Grumblevolcano - Simply fantastic news. I went from not caring about the release at all, to being grateful that the dev team will get additional time to iron out the Switch port and deliver a proper physical release.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,536 games (as of December 14th, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
