SEGA's doing their own "Classic Games Collection". Free classic games every month on mobile (both iOS and Android) with added things such as leaderboard support but unlike with Nintendo you don't have to pay for a subscription, it truly is free! The first batch is coming within 24 hours and includes Sonic 1, Sonic CD and 4 non-Sonic games.
Some of the first responses are people wanting it on Switch
@Spoony_Tech More like companies don't want sales to fail. Its an unproven market.
As much as we want to have these 3rd party games, the 3rd parties have to think about the user base, Switch shortages, and Nintendo's infamous Wii U. The 3DS has none of these problems, so it's getting it. I imagine they decided to make the Switch a third version, and that's why it's not being shown.

ARMS sold just over 100,000 and Switch sold nearly 38,000. Switch hardware sales for the past 6 weeks have been ~25,000. Not a huge increase but it could be down to production problems.
@Grumblevolcano "adult reasons" It's pretty weird to admit a game is going to be released on a platform, but then not even state why you refuse to even mention it.
I'm thinking it's not about any kind of exclusivity contract (that thought vanished when it didn't appear at Sony's show) and has more to do with the Squeenix management simply demanding they maximize 3DS sales before bringing the Switch version out.
@Luna_110
It's not canned. Square Enix straight up said they can't talk about it right now, for "adult reasons" (aka paid to not talk about it, most likely by Sony- though it can't be proven it doesn't take Inspector Gadget to observe what's happening).
Besides, no major publisher cancels a game on a brand new system. That sort of thing happened on Wii U after it was tanking, but Switch is 3 months old and on fire. There's no reason in the world they'd decide to cancel the game this early into a console's lifespan... And a successful one at that.
But this is probably exactly what [Sony] wants. For people to think their version is the only console version that will be available, so that nobody holds off for Switch version.
But it's too late. The cat's out of the bag (thanks to SE, who probably "accidentally" let it slip)

I wonder if they canned Dragon Quest XI for Switch, it's weird we haven't had any news about it yet considering the PS4/3DS versions releases soon
A few months ago they still said the Switch version was coming. I expected Switch footage to be at the Direct, but there wasn't anything at all... It's weird, SE have been talking about this Switch version for more almost two years, but we haven't even seen a single screenshot...

Good opening for ARMS in Japan IMO. UK sales weren't impressive, but if the rest of Europe and NA is similar to Japan, the Switch got another million seller.
Rockstar remastering L.A. Noire for PSVR and Switch claim rumours Rumours abound that Rockstar are planning to bring back 2011 hit L.A. Noire, with a new first person view for all current consoles.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Wouldn't surprise me if LA Noire got ported over - the MotionScan technology that they used in the game was super-expensive (I believe that it was/is the most expensively produced game of all time?) ..and I'm not certain that they actually ended up making their money back on it. A successful port might be just the tonic to shift the games takings in to the black!
The game itself is a really interesting twist on the tried-and-trusted GTA formula (I thoroughly enjoyed it!) ..would be a welcome addition to the Switch's library
I have a prediction, a Smash 4 port will be released on Black Friday 2017 (24th November). If you look at the ports, they've been announced 3 months before launch:
MK8 Deluxe - Announced January, released April
Pokken - Announced June, releasing September
MHXX (Japan) - Announced May, releasing August
So I think there will be a Direct in August that announces Smash 4 Deluxe to be releasing in November. As for why not at E3? Well ARMS is a new IP and it would sell horribly if Smash 4 was announced before the ARMS launch period.
GamesBeat: For the rest of the year, what’s the big message? Obviously Mario, but is there anything else?
Charlie Scibetta: Games. If you want to be able to play games and not have a dry spell between any of the big launches, we think Nintendo Switch is a good place to be. We have a nice drumbeat of first and third party. You’ll never have to wait long.
Just as you get through a game and you’re starting to put your head up, put the periscope out to see what else is out there, hopefully we’ll have something right there for you. We’ve announced a nice lineup through this year, and next year we have some big games coming with Metroid 4. 2018 [Ed’s note: Nintendo clarified later that Scibetta meant “2018 and beyond” here] will be around Metroid, Kirby, Yoshi, and a new Pokemon game has been announced. We feel good about the lineup for this year and beyond.
So Metroid Prime 4 and the Pokemon game may be out on Switch in 2018.
Edit: Actually nevermind that bit. The Editor has just edited what Scibetta meant. If anything, he's reconfirmed my belief that those 2 games won't be out before 2019. Definitely MP4 won't be.
Yea, honestly, I'm fine with the Holiday lineup as it is now. I think adding Smash would almost be too much and perhaps draw away from the other stuff a bit. But I don't know, I guess it wouldn't hurt.
We didn't know one thing about Samus Returns and that's out in 4 months. Who's to say Metroid won't be out next year. Reggie has been saying for a while (years) the Metroid fans are being heard. Other then BotW what other games does Nintendo show as of late that doesn't release in less then a year? What I mean by that is just announcing the game was enough and they wouldn't show footage of Prime 4 till it has less then a year to go.
I'm even willing to bet Kirby and Yoshi will be out before E3 next year.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
@Spoony_Tech Well I do agree about Kirby and Yoshi being 1st half of 2018, Fire Emblem will probably be then too so something like:
January - Nothing
February - Fire Emblem
March - Kirby
April - Unannounced game
May - Yoshi
June - Unannounced game
