@SLIGEACH_EIRE To be fair, they can't do anything about this. This doesn't only affect Nintendo, but all tech companies that are competing for the same components.
@Octane But shouldn't they have made sure that they had factories capable of making enough components? It just seems to happen all to regularly. And Apple are being given higher priority than Nintendo by these component makers.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I think their sales forecast was lower originally. Toshiba is also going through some troubles, and they're Nintendo's suppliers of NAND memory. I suppose they could outbid Apple, but that also means taking a loss on Switch units. Nintendo never does that.
amiibo - Why release a side product all gung ho the same year you just had to actually take a loss and bvuy back stock of your main product? That's unwise especially if you have no idea itll work and might have had to take another loss buying back stock
NES Classic Mini - Began production as the Wii U was discontinued, due to the usage of the controllers, and how they and traditional classic controllers are cross compatible, its obvious they use properitary ports left over for said controllers and as such, why the hell would Nintendo make more of those if they were killing the associated brand? Its stock clearance man.
Look, we all love the Nintendoom thing k? And its a great opinion to have but also remember there are rational, currently known industry wide reasons for this happening.

@Nicolaison I was thinking of putting them under my kids pillows lol. For whatever reason that was the first thing I could think of as well freaking someone out.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
I'm getting impatient. I've been holding out on the Switch port of Shantae: 1/2 Genie Hero for the physical release, but as far as I'm aware, there hasn't been any word yet when that will happen. I really want to play that one.
I found the posts about the supposed MH for Switch. They're rumors, of course, but it comes from the guy that leaked that MH World is MH5 and it was the real deal before they had the official confirmation from the dev.
Supposedly, development has already started on the Switch game by the XX team, not by the main one (they're focused on Worlds). Capcom isn't interested in localizing XX, they prefer to push Worlds for now and push the new Switch game when it is out than bringing a late port from the 3DS. If there's any chance of it coming, Nintendo would have to pick up the slack.
Once again, take with a mountain of salt. Its only a rumor, and not a certainty. I'm putting it out here because it will be interesting to see how all this turns out.
"Make sure your Mayflash GameCube Adapter (4-port) is updated with the firmware that supports Pokken. You MUST update on a PC or Linux, Mac didn't work for me: http://www.mayflash.com/File.asp?Id=106
The adapter only supports one controller. You can plug in all 4, but they'll all work as the same player.
The GameCube controller emulates a Pokken controller. That means that the D-pad and Analog Stick BOTH work as a D-pad. If a Switch game is playable with the D-pad, you can play it with a GameCube controller. BOTW is a no-go. The C-stick doesn't work as a stick, instead left and right function as the + and - buttons.
For best results, plug the adapter into the Switch dock, then turn it on. Use the GameCube controller BEFORE using any Joy-con or Switch Pro Controller. You can navigate the Switch menu with the GameCube controller just fine. After making sure the GameCube controller is responding, THEN connect any normal Switch controllers."
Not sure anyone will get much use out of that. The analogue stick working as a D-pad sounds terrible and the Gamecube D-pad wasn't exactly great. It could come in handy for some who are short on controllers but other than that, pretty worthless.
