@Socar But if Zelda's conventions are broken than who says like has to be a dull personality

The fact that they're not and he doesn't even talk.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

@Haru17 Are you serious? They showed no storyline gameplay and one NPC so you have already ruled out a voice for Link. And Zelda's conventions are definitely broken. Rock climbing, cooking, runes, open world, shrines, etc. Aonuma said himself Zelda's conventions have been broken.

Well by that argument, I can also say Link can run away because it would take courage to face the ridicule from the people of Hyrule. Perhaps the Guardians protected the Royal Family and that's why they don't like Link

That doesn't describe Link at all. It is ok, you can admit you are wrong. You don't have to be right about this. Link wouldn't run away from facing Evil, because that wouldn't be courage. Having Courage to face ridicule from people because you are running away from what you should be doing isn't courage. Also why would people ridicule Link? To them he is just a normal person, and the people are also normal people not facing Ganon. It takes courage to face Evil, it isn't courageous to run away from evil.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Link actually does have dialogue in this game though. He asked questions to Old Man when you first meet him, and this Link seems able to show emotions better than previous Links, bar maybe Toon Link. So at least we know this Link is capable of more than just soulless stares, expressions of discomfort and high-pitched shouts.

@Chandlero Depends. Do you consider departing from the format set by OoT to be breaking a Zelda Covention.

@DefHalan You're hilarious, who said you can't have good power or courage for bad reasons, ask a kamikaze, they got some courage

Perhaps it would be wiser to speak once Link has, because right now that convention is the same as it's ever been.

PK_Boss11

@Haru17 Well that mysterious voice in the backround of the trailer has already broken that convention

PK_Boss11

@Chandlero Yeah Majoras Mask did, but not on this scale. Not only is BotW breaking Zelda or Nintendo Conventions, it's going to change gaming.

I love Majoras Mask, it's a great game start to finish, but it will always live in Oot's shadow, however, BotW won't

@PK_Boss11 Kamikaze have courage, but they are taking action. Courage isn't about avoiding responsibility. In the Hero's Journey, the Hero normally lacks courage and refuses The Call To Adventure, but then something happens that gives him a reason to go on the Journey. That is when they are courageous. Running away isn't courage. Kamikaze have courage, to preform an action they know they will not survive.

Also the thing about Power:
"Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely"

@DefHalan You're telling me that Muslims who run away from their fate and homes don't have courage

I really hope so but for all we have seen yet, I didn't get the feeling that this game is a game changer. The game needs more than open world and apples on trees to really change gaming. We will see.

@PK_Boss11 It'll change gaming for Nintendo, since it'll probably set a standard for them, but I doubt BotW will change gaming as a whole.

@Chandlero It looks great, but hopefully they won't focus so much on gameplay that they forget a good storyline. That will be the difference
