@Haru17: Making assumptions isn't your forte I see.
Sony isn't publishing the game. Sony only helped promoting the game during their conferences, nothing more. They're still an independent studio and the game is self-funded. It's also coming to PC by the way.
I never said it was one of my most anticipated games, but the general consensus? Yeah, people are excited for it. And that isn't saying anything at all about how good the game will turn out to be.
It's not an indie game if Sony is publishing it, lawl.
For all intents and purposes it is. The game was independently funded. Sony are just helping with promoting it. So the game is indie. It's inevitable financial success is not.
Hmm, I suppose if it's a digital only release then Sony wouldn't really have to publish. You can bet your amiibos that if it warrants a posthumous physical release Sony will be all over than nonsense, though.
Well the word "publish" still seems to be used even in digital-only circumstances nowadays. It's not entirely clear what it means in this context though.
Whoa, I clicked this post expecting to join a lively Zelda U chat. Instead I've joined No Man's Sky Publisher Debate 2016. We are in dire need of fresh Zelda news...

I looked up the trailer and I'm not too impressed. Sure, they have the biggest world in gaming. It means nothing if there's no substance or depth to any of the environments.
Currently Playing: Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros Wii U.
I don't think No Man's Sky is s survival game, but yeah, @Gohma is spot on. Hopefully we've all gotten over the open world bubble by now. Games obviously can't coast to being fun with just that.

Considering it's procedurally generated you kinda have to expect it to be a bit shallow and/or repetitive. I think the survival aspect is what will make or break the game.

Well the 10 second trailer in the November Direct revealed virtually nothing...
@Grumblevolcano: The book, the long sword, the new design on the shirt... that's about it. Oh, and we got to SEE the ocean... barely. Not that we didn't know that it was there.

I didn't notice the ocean. Cool, I'll go and check. After Wind Waker, I was very pleased to see the very limited amount of water on the world map.
We've scraped the bottom of barrel, tore a hole in the bottom and dug through the ground over everything we have seen of Zelda U so far. Until Nintendo actually shows us more footage or at least gives us more concrete information, the thread will continue to look like this. It's either that or having no activity in this thread at all.
I want them to bring back bird riding as a form of fast travel instead of just playing a song and being teleported. Or I guess just have option for both!

Now that's what Zelda needs to do: bring back digging! It was great fun in Phantom Hourglass.
The shovel is one of my favorite items in Zelda. No kidding.
It would love to see it in all its glory in a 3d Zelda game.
Wow, a Zelda discussion I can step in on.
Agreed 100%, the shovel was one of my favorite items in Phantom Hourglass and Oracle of Ages. (I'm assuming it's also in Seasons, haven't gotten around to playing it yet)
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
