@keife191: I like using the wiimote, but not for TP. It was cheap and annoying. If you're gonna do motion controls, you have to go all out like SS, I like the SS ccontrols.
The land is not untamed at all, it's clearly inhabited with small villages here and there, and so far there's nothing that could even remotely hint that this Hyrule and Link are the same from that game.
@Morpheel: Well untamed was the wrong word... Even in SS there were those tent things in Eldin. There were buildings like the sealed grounds temple, and... well whatever. Also we have yet to see another human in the game, that farmer in the first trailer could have been a goron or some other species. Anyways, I'm not really sure this is SS Link, but to me it's a viable explanation for him being right handed.
@Morpheel: Just think about it. He's right handed even though there is no wii controls. His hair is longer, which could just be a design choice, but it could show that some time has passed for SS Link. He and Zelda decide to stay in Hyrule and watch over the Triforce, and thus he has a untamed, vast land to explore. I know it's a stretch but it does kinda make sense, no?
Motion-controls asid, I actually kinda like this idea of roaming an untamed Hyrule. I would normally roll my eyes at another sequel, but if the gameplay and story are going to be unique enough, I don't really care one way or the other.
@Monkey_Balls: its speculated that its the eye of the sheika, the same eye thats on the memory stones in OoT, and yes theyve said that the horse is epona, however its my hypothesis that epona is the name of whatever horse link chooses as his, because in the video link rode epona past a group of wild horses, so what if you start the game without a horse and have to go lasso and break a wild horse first.
i support my theory that epona can be any horse because in OoT you didnt have to choose epona specifically, you could pick any of the horses and that would be your horse for the game. (however epona is the only horse that came with the song)

I didn't know you could pick just any horse, last I checked the only horse that would even acknowledge you is epona specifically. I never seen somebody riding any of the other horses..
Regardless, I like to think of epona as a decedent like all the other main zelda characters. Between games, generally the link isn't the same link, zelda isn't the same zelda, likely epona isn't the same epona. (Epona is called epona in OoT, TP, MM, Hyrule Warrior (noncannon I guess), Four swords, minish cap, Oracle of ages/Seasons, etc but obviously none of these games have direct relation, perhap even no blood type relation besides OoT and MM).

Well since link isn't wearing the hero's tunic, I'd expect this is also early game, so you might just change to epona later in the game.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
@MegaBeedrill: in OoT when you meet epona in the adult time, you have to do a quest where you test ride a horse and then challenge the owner to a race and if you win you keep the horse, you can pick any horse you want, my grandma ended up with a horse with a green saddle that refused to come when she played eponas song, its irreversible and kinda weird but it is possible to pick a different horse.
About the hood, the primary purpose of a hood is to keep out the elements. Wind, rain, sand. Billions of blades of grass. There's a reason why people who live in extreme climates wear face wraps. It makes sense for a guy who spends like 95% of his time outdoors.

Not to be "mean" again, but... this is just not true.

i hope the hoods optional, id rather links face get dirty lol, but in seriousness the hood looks kinda lame
Didn't they say in the first gameplay demonstration that you could use different horses?
In OoT, you can ride any horse in Ingo's riding mini game, but only using epona will cause him to challenge you to the race.
I don't recall them saying that you could ride other horses in the gameplay trailer.
In Ocarina of Time, you can race Ingo with any horse; it's just only possible to win with Epona, because she's the only one fast enough (unless you cheat the game somehow).
@Nicolai: @Morpheel: yes its possible to win with another horse, my grandma did it. im not sure how hard it is because i only ever tried with epona, but its possible
the major downside is the other horses wont come when you calll them, so if you lose it you have to physically track it down every time you need a ride
It is absolutely not possible to beat the second race without Epona unless you are using cheats. Even with Epona, Ingo gets a head start on you in the second race and you have to catch up with a carrot or two and then use techniques like blocking him to stay in front. Without Epona, you will never catch up after that initial head start that Ingo gets. The other horses are not fast enough.
And even if you do use cheats to beat the second race, once you leave the ranch, the game will put you on Epona anyway. You are in no way "locked" into your cheat horse.
