@Shiki_No_Uta That's the first one I did weeks ago and made the rest easy by comparison. Just take your time and rotate the map to see if you're missing something.

@GoronBrudda It's a chicken and egg problem. The primary reason I need the barbarian armor is to hunt lynels, and the main thing I need to upgrade my barbarian armor enough to hunt lynels is....killing a bunch of lynels....

I'm a widdle bit creeped out about being able to wear Majora's mask. I feel like there should be some animation changes to Link where he seems a bit...off if he wears the mask. Maybe twitching or wringing his hands in paranoia...

That Korok mask is a lifesaver though...I guess I'll go for all 900 after all.

As cool as the dlc is. I think I'm gonna hold off until the Christmas holidays. I want to start a new playthrough but kinda want to have a somewhat blind experience again, in which I won't know where everything is and how to solve every puzzles. So it'll take some time. I think on my new playthrough I'll have the Spanish Latin america dub, hard mode, pro hud mode, trying to avoid using the map, grab the master sword at the very end and limit myself to only healing at cooking pots.

Not interested in the DLC, and I already beat the game, so I fail to see the point of getting it now. I'm surprised they're even charging for this. If I didn't know, I would've thought it was just a small software patch.

@DarthNocturnal I don't know the hard mode and korok tracking maybe should be an update, and maybe the footstep tracking, but new costumes/armor (presumably with upgrade requirements), flying enemies, new enemy ranks etc seems very DLC. Considering that's only the "teaser" entry of a new story DLC for $20, that's not bad assuming the story DLC has real meat to it.

@Ryu_Niiyama Have you tried any of the goods sold by Kilton? What you request is extremely possible if not probable....... And if not you seriously need to locate Kilton simply so you can appreciate the detail.

Hmm, I wonder what effect Majora's Mask has on other elements in the game. "The Blood Moon rises once aga.....wait...no, no now it's falling, THE BLOOD MOON IS FALLING!!"

So far, the DLC seems pretty bad. At least for me, nothing looks really interesting. I was hopjng for a bit more for something they were charging extra for.

The costumes are cute but I'm honestly not gonna pay for them. I have similar feelings about the Amiibo ones which feel cheap.

The rest just seem pretty dull for me. So I'll hold off on buying the DLC until I see what the other one entails.

@NEStalgia Nah the game would just give a game over during the blood moon. Maybe a giant per divine beast you cleanse tries to hold it up for a moment.

I tried the bokoblin mask and I noticed he hunched over... I'll have to try the other ones. I'm trying to farm for star fragments right now.. not even really playing the game. I want to have my Link wear the hero of time garb and not get one shot for it! My deluxe guide just came in...it is HUGE. The art work is lovely.

Edit: I like the DLC but I think there needs to be an update to make stars fall more often without resorting to farming. It is the only thing that is killing my enjoyment of the game.

@G0dlike LMAO! I bought mine just to find the shrines! I would love to wander but my backlog is too big. I want to start finishing more games than I buy.

@Ryu_Niiyama Definitely try as many of the masks as you can afford spare parts exchange for mon for. Link does a good imitation. Also listen to the sounds as you walk and such And walk through some enemies camps and see how they react. Just not lynels, that ones not worth it. They figure it out way too fast.

Ugh, I gave up on stars. I don't have the Hero of Time garb, but I needed it to upgrade my ancient armor. I found one early in the game by pot luck before I new stars were a thing. Found one by chance a month ago, I was climbing in the hills west of central hyrule heard a "boom" after the blood moon and there was a shiny on the next hill. 2 weeks ago I was up in Tabantha Snowfield, no blood moon and I saw a streak in the sky. I put a pin on the map and had to trek all the way over to Eldin near the magma pools to pick it up. Those are the only 3 I have seen and probably the only 3 I will collect.

@DarthNocturnal Well, yeah I mean for $20/$30CAD that would be a shallow DLC, but pack 1 was always just the appetizer. The Story DLC is (hopefully) what warrants the price tag. If they dumped the whole thing all at once it would seem pretty sizable unless they somehow screw up the story DLC, but given 8-9 months to work on it, I can't imagine them blowing it that badly.

I actually never imagined they'd allow the sword to power up like that with or without DLC. But lets face it, most players that buy the DLC will still never see the powered up sword. It's a 40+ room Eventide with successive battles. You' know what's in those last few rooms? Half a dozen Golden Maned Lynels, guaranteed.

@NEStalgia How about the final room being all the Divine Beast boss battles at once and add in a few Lynels too for more fun?

Thing about the mask is that it isn't inherently evil, it only became so in it's game due to excessive hexing/dark magic. That's why it can make appearances like in Link Between Worlds and this game without issue. Heck, even the original becomes a plain old mask again after you defeat the, shall we say, malice within.

@NEStalgia Make friends with the dogs in villages and at stables. They might help you in your quest for star fragments

@DizziParadise Interesting! How do you know you've befriended them? I keep throwing pokeballs at the screen and nothing happens.

Seriously I stand near them....see hearts....and then sometimes they follow me around...but what do I have to do other than that to get them to help? And do stars have a time limit that if you don't notice them as they fall they vanish?

@DarthNocturnal Well BotW already has the power up stage when near malice/guardians/castle, so we're just talking about using the power up stage all the time like the White Sword. I WANT that feature, but I do see how the MS kind of breaks the whole sword cycling dynamic. Though I'm really down to: "Low on weapons? Kill a black Hinox!" as my cycle now

Regardless I needed to upgrade my Fireproof and Knights armor sets. Sorry there big fella, but I'm going to need to take your guts for a fairy (who appears to moonlight as a madame) to tailor my clothes. Nothing personal.

Could always rob him now that I'm upgraded, but killing him is so fast and easy with the barbarian costume, even without it being upgraded yet!
