The reward for completing all the shrines is kinda stupid IMO...

Yeah, that's one thing I did miss alot in BotW compared to previous Zelda games. Even alot of the sidequests in BotW also generally have more lackluster awards for having completing them compared to some of the more rewarding items you could get in previous ones. The side-quests themselves are fun though, but I know what you mean, it can sometimes feel like you've just done a really lengthy sidequest that took you hours and done a great any tasks, but what you get at the end of it can feel a little anti-climactical when many of them just do something lame like "here's 5 arrows" or a tiny amount of rupees. (between you and me, I do often get my own back though afterwards by throwing rocks at and jars at the characters that short change me like that, and I do like how they've built in reactions of either fear or sarcastic disapproval to most of the MPCs when you do silly stuff that!) But still though, better prizes would have been nice!

Out of curiosity, what was the prize they gave you for completing all the shrines? (I've still got a few to go,so I haven't got that far yet) I'm still gonna do them all though, as I'm still thoroughly enjoying playing this game. But I'm not afraid of spoilers, and curiosity has always been one of my weaknesses. (So I'm dying to know now that you've told me!)

There's one set of armor that upgrades with luminous stones....

Thanks man. -Useful to know!

Has anyone had a play with how all the dye upgrades work? I've got a few spare outfits just to do stuff like that with, but I don't want to waste items that I might need on stuff like that yet until I'm more certain of which ones are the most effective versus which are a waste of time.

Does anyone else get arrows by running around in circles near a boko archer and picking up his missed shots? I do it all the time.

That's another one that i usually do too

Nice update: i finally did Vah Medoh and it was fantastic! Both engagement and the dungeon itself! After that i did all side quests to finish the zone. Doing that i did also 2 really funny Shrines side quests (the 5 little Ritos and the song one). Now i'm at 88 Shrines and 301 Korok Seeds. Now i'll do the zone right next to it. By the way i like Revali, funny character, and his power too. It's really useful!

@Meowpheel I was bitter when I noticed that...but at the same time I needed the diamonds for some early game upgrades and I had a ton of rupees.

Does anyone know if weapons lying around the environment respawn after the blood moon? I'm wondering if I should head back to Hyrule Castle and stock up.

Was dodging arrows just now to get pick up the spares when I found out another way to get arrows, hopefully the next bits blacked out for those who want to discover it for themselves like I have through sheer dumb luck you don't need to dodge, just take a hit to a wooden shield then put it away and you can get way more than the normal five on about thirty at the moment and it isn't stopping, though you do go through lots of shields this way but boko shields are everywhere

Does Kilton ever get any more gear to sell? I cleared out his stock the first time I met him and he's had nothing new since. I'm sure he said he would be getting more stuff.

Octane wrote:

@Tsurii Yeah, you can pretty much everything apart from the Champion's Tunic. You can sell the snow and sand boots as well, just tested it.

@Octane Where were you able to sell the snow/sand boots? Every vendor I've spoken to won't allow me to sell those, the Champion's Tunic, the Zora armour or the Thunder Helm. I've never wanted to sell them; just curious about where you were able to.

Can I carry more than 99pcs of something?

I'm not sure what the limit to the number of items you can carry is but it's not 99.

@Switchcraft @skywake The item limit is 999. I'm not sure what the ruppee limit is (the most I've had is about 8000).

Are the pics you buy expensive?

@GoronBrudda 100 rupees each. I forgot two of the Divine Beast bosses so will have to purchase their pictures. I now only need 28 items to find/photograph and my Compendium is complete. Bet it takes forever...

By the way i have to admit i changed my mind on playthroughs after i did it on upgrades. I may play it for a second time, at least. It's so good! I missed doing some main story stuff maybe!

@Monkey_Balls return to him after clearing all Divine Beasts

Does anyone know if there's anything "special" you have to do to get set bonuses on gear? I have a few sets so far, and I've upgraded them at least twice, and so far, I don't have any bonuses on them. I thought for sure the snowquill set would get a bonus if nothing else, but no, nothing so far (except for that one quest-mandatory gear set.)

NEStalgia

FGPackers

@NEStalgia not all sets have full set bonuses. All pieces have to be at least 2 stars, try stealth bonus

FGPackers

Haru17

The snowquill set has a bonus at two stars. The Hylian and Knight set do not, and the Champion's Tunic doesn't even have a set.

I got to Kilton after doing all four divine beasts, bought him out, and never saw anything new in his store. So that could be what you ran into if you bought several different collections of items.

Ah, I met him for the first time after I had already completed those. I'm guessing I've already got all his stock then? Thanks.

Edit: @Haru17 Thanks for confirming.

About certain canon sets... I wish the Master Sword beam up on the green tunics made the skyward strikes even half decent in combat — I don't think they can even one-shot a red bokoblin. Especially since the requirement for full health is so stringent and scales to become more difficult as you fill your heart meter with more and more heart containers and less yellow additional ones, which all count as full health. The way it is, it's a useless gimmick.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

NEStalgia

@FGPackers That's one set I don't have yet! Was trying to get the elemental ones mostly first. Those headpieces are expensive! It would be nice to know there's no bonus before splurging on them since they're useless otherwise

Undead_terror

@Monkey_Balls Ya, the Dark Link set is the last of his items, if you see that, there is nothing else....which is sad because I find his shop pretty dope.

So I'm guessing no one is going with a fancy clothing set?

@FGPackers stamina wheel to the max buddy. Like you say food and what not are easy to come by. Nothing more irritating than your stamina running out an inch from the top of a sheer cliff.

@BigBadJohn Among that whatnot are stamina shrooms and endura carrots, though to each his own.

I sell almost everything I come by, since I'm not too interested in crafting upgrades, and I've got about 67,000 rupees, plus a lot of stuff to sell. It's not possible to sell weapons, is it?

Got married.
