I specifically referred to the horse turning from a distance being inaccurate and turning closer to the game causing the horse to willfully run around it. If you did not understand my post, please read it again.
It really begins to hit you just how samey the stories of Zelda games are once you watch a timeline video. That was one of the conventions I was hoping they would break in this game, but sadly they didn't.
I don't know if it counts, but I spent five minutes trying to get my rider Link amiibo's sword to be straight, because it came crushed up back towards his head like a Redguard scimitar.
Tried real hard to make this post only have innuendos to Skyrim's curved swords line, but it didn't work.
@Undead_terror I have not tried moving them although my 5 year old daughter volunteered to create a cool pose for me. I was worried the Amiibo would fall apart. Not sure why, it appears to be sturdy.
Is there a reason you are asking? Are you concerned for its durability too?
Did not so much this morning, but i'm ready for a big one: did the Rito Village and i'm ready to start Vah Medoh, next time i'll do it. Finally i bought the cold resistance gear from Rito Village that i'm going to upgrade ASAP, so i finally don't need cold resistance meals anymore
Yeah, sorry but I don't think the horses control any better than in Twilight Princess, or even much better than Ocarina of Time / Majora's Mask before it. Probably due to the fact that horse are only in the specifically designated, largely open overworld areas of that game whereas you can take a horse everywhere in Breath of the Wild — where they will most definitely run into every tree at every speed even when the left stick is left entirely alone. They do the exact same stop-go thing as in Twilight Princess, so calling them 'objectively better' is pretty curious.
Obviously I like them more than the pain that was Shadow of the Colossus's equine annoyance. Breath of the Wild is a piece of software with randomly generated horse stats and appearances. I want that horse that I fully recognize is nothing more than code to control like a car. This isn't Monster Hunter's melee combat: every mechanic in every Zelda game ever made has been creative to have responsive, quick animation speeds and controls. This isn't the hill to die on for realism.
That all being said, the horses are fine for just going to explore the world. They're just inconvenient compared to other open world RPGs and MMOs which allow you to 'summon a mount' like calling a cab. And that they run into trees and walls just like Epona OoT, and just like Epona TP. It's only when you want to jump and enter into a controlled descent or glide, or complete that challenge that it's impossible. Yes, I've heeded the stable guy's tip — it's the precise turning and horse AI that is flawed for what that mini game is supposed to be.
@JohnBlackstar Nah, I just wanna keep it in original pose, but at the same time, a normal walking stance for it.

I think I found a new design that I will use for a normal outfit set, it's a mix of a few sets, I was using a Hylian hood/pants/tunic (custom green), and might use that again as it looks like a good modern Link outfit in my opinion, but wanted to spice things up!
I just got this game recently and I only arrived at Hateno yet. I didn't want to run into too many spoilers but now I think I could use some hints.
I am running low on cash as a bought almost all standard arrows I was offered. (I think this is a good recommendation from my part, you can always use bow and arrows). I was wondering which items I can sell and which I should hold on to. Do I need opals and ambers for anything? Can I carry more than 99pcs of something?
Has anyone else started another playthrough yet, having still got 240 odd korok seeds to find i thought i'd start a new game on my other accounts but playing the game in a different style, Just on the great plateau and I've noticed so may things I didn't the first time like there being no day cycle pre-tower activation and it's so damn hard unlearning skills that the last 200+ hours taught me no scanner no matter how many times I push that button and that leap you've just made ain't happening unless you know a button combo that can turn your boko club and shirt into a makeshift parachute...
@Randomlight I'm planning to t start a new game soon. But this time, I'm gonna try going straight for the boss. My second account will probably be for experimenting or replaying the game whilst my first account will be my primary and 100% completion account. I've watched other people's playthroughs and its crazy how much you miss.

I don't think i'll ever do a second playthough. It's not the kind of game that stimolates me to play it again, especially because i'll do as much as i can in the first one.
By the way i have to change idea about how to spend upgrades. I noticed that Stamina is too much important to not go over 2 full circles, especially considering that Health and bonus Hearths can be really easy to obtain with meals. So now i'll go for the third full circle and then use remaining orbs to get as much Hearths as i can. After all Shrines are done i'll use Mipha's Grace and meals to get missing Hearths to 30.
@Switchcraft Try to get arrows by killing in a stealth way bokoblin archers at camps, sneak to get other weapons and finish the job. This way you'll have tons of arrows (that's how i did it when i started) without buying them in the first hours. After some time you will have enough things (even to sell) that gathering things will be easy enough. I have so much things (weapons, arrows of all types, materials and other stuff) now that i'm playing without carying so much about equipment. So it's just how you approach it. If you need to sell i would suggest to sell some of this and some of that: try to not go out of stock for anything

I'm not sure what the limit to the number of items you can carry is but it's not 99. As for what you should sell? Ore is the safest bet and will also give you the most rupees. Just don't sell diamond, flint or luminous stones because you will need them eventually. Also don't sell monster parts or ancient gear because you will want to keep that for later on in the game.
I personally made the mistake of selling a whole bunch of stuff early on for rupees. I "beat the game" before finding anywhere I could actually use it. When I did a bit of exploring post game? Yeah, I regretted selling a lot of that stuff. But you can always get more if you need it.

An opinion is only respectable if it can be defended. Respect people, not opinions
Who needs armor, when you have a near limitless supply of radishes? I'm not sure if I've said this before, but that's the main difference between this Zelda game and others in my opinion. In most Zelda games, when you're having a really difficult time with a tough enemy, Link loses hearts, and then he dies. In this game, he stress-eats. A lot.
Yep, either Link's bulemic, or it's all those extra calories he burns.
All that running about doing side-quests, and I never saw him pull out his fitbit even once! lol.
@GoronBrudda You're Welcome! I also freaked out about missing photos of the bosses. I often forgot to take a picture since I was too engrossed in the moment ..... and it may also due to the fact that I was actually frantically taking several screenshots instead! XD
True. I often forget aswell, but mostly why I missed taking a pic of the first shadow gannon was because at the beginning I didn't even realize about the Hyrule Compendium feature. so on;y started taking photos deliberately after having discovered it by accidentally clicking n the R button when looking at a map. So all the stuff that reappeared, they were quite easy to take photos of, but of course when you get things that never re-spawn, it can be a devastating feeling. (admittedly I'll be playing this one again anyway on the Switch, as I have both versions but I'm mostly playing the WiiU version for now, as that's the one I got hold of first). But it still would have really bugged me if there was no way to ever get it on the WiiU version without yet another whole playthrough (especially when you've already spent so much time being so meticulous about collecting all the other stuff). But very glad you showed me this technique though. Are the pics you buy expensive?
@skywake"Sell ore, but not diamonds or flint or luminous stones"? Which makes up a bulk of the ore you'll find. How much luminus/flint/ancient/monster parts are you going to need later beyond upgrading equipment buying/upgrading ancient armor, etc? I've been selling a lot of that stuff, but then I have over 100 of some of those things (only 10 diamonds, but over 100 luminous, and have just been selling surplus, otherwise there's no way I'd be able to buy the armor sets.)

If you have that many luminous stones, you know you can actually trade those in for diamonds, right? you do this with one of the Zoras in the front entrance to the circular bit in Zora's domain , and he'll replace every 10 luminous stones you have for a diamond (which will give you more money when you sell them, as diamonds are sold for 500 rupees each in most places). I'd still recommend keeping some of your diamonds though, because those are needed to upgrade certain breakable weapons. But have only ever needed one luminous stone for anything so far (and that was in the Gerudo Heights region when you unlock the shrine outside the Yiga Hideout. But other than that, it won't hinder you to sell or replace the rest of your luminous stones for diamonds. (and luminous stones are quite easy to find anyway, even if there does turn out to be other uses later on beyond the one I mentioned).
