@-Green- Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen. They said Subspace was basically an entire separate game to develop from Brawl after all.
That would be pretty lame. Unless it was a free update later on. I just really detest the idea of them hyping it as the "ultimate" smash and then having chunks of modes added in post-launch as DLC. Wouldn't be a very ultimate game to launch with, imo. That being said, I'd prefer that to none at all.
The leaker, Vergeben, that correctly predicted the returning roster as well as Simon Belmont has some new information, and it is absolutely gargantuan. Will be concealed in spoiler tags, of course!
Vergeben now asserts a new Square Enix representative is joining Smash Ultimate, though he doesn't know who specifically. Many speculate it's Geno, and I think that's a reasonable and likely claim. It coincides with the fan-service Nintendo's been shelling out in character inclusions. Geno, like K. Rool and Chrom, had a costume in Smash 4, and I also recall Sakurai expressing his desire to implement Geno in the past.
With this information, I think it'd be wise to consider Geno's inclusion a large possibility now, and . . . as a huge SMRPG (and Geno) fanboy, I'm actively trying not to completely lose my "♥♪!?".
The Best Buy preorder pages for the new Smash amiibo say you can unlock characters with their amiibo. If this is really the case, that's a good decision.
Whether I'd use it or not depends on how you unlock the characters the other ways. If it's via a story mode like Brawl then I'll just unlock everyone via the story mode but if it's like Melee's unlock approach then I'd probably at least unlock Shulk and the Fire Emblem characters via amiibo.
Really wish someone would see the intense demand for some sort of discount program for games and fill the void. Though I know it's not that simple since profit margins are already tiny for videogames in general.
Unless it has analog triggers I don't see any point getting it. Already have 2 pro controllers and if I wanted a 3rd I'd have gotten the Xenoblade 2 one as it has a better design.
I'll get it if it's easy enough to get. I just wish they reallllly spent more time on the Pro Controller design overall. I have no clue how they took a step back from the slick look of the Wii U Pro design.
