Topic: Splatoon 2

I've enjoyed the demo as my first experience of Splatoon, although the motion controls made me a bit nauseous. Hopefully less so when I get the hang of it, but I wish there was an alternative.

How do you write on your sign, I couldn't see it in the options?

With this post, and by playing it also makes me feel very old!

Ill be going with the Pro Controller

lol is there a way to map the jump button to x and the map to b? This is going to be so awkward.

The noobs will win from the pros because the pros can't stop looking at their map...

Having the B for jump is confusing at first but it makes sense as it's the closest button to the right analogue,just as X was when playing on Wii U. It'll feel natural in no time.

I'll be playing with the Pro controller for the most part, it's a beast of a controller but I'm going to make a point of getting used to playing on the handheld too.

@JoeDiddley I recommend learning to use the motion controls rather than switching them off. You'll be better off in the long run.

@chardir thanks, I might get used to the game mechanics then enable motion controls.

I get motion sickness when I'm a bit lost and using them. Once I've got the hang of things and it's more natural it'll probably be less of an issue.

Pro controller is the best way to play. That's what I will do

I'm going to pay a lot of portable mode so I'll be searching for the setup that's best.

Motion on the first one was great. I'll find a way to make it portable online great.

Wait, so the first game only had two hair styles? Did the headgear change their hair or add any diversity at all?

I'm pretty sure it was always just two hairstyles. You could wear hats to cover your head and face, but it was still the same hairstyle.

hm gotta say, motion controls while laying on the couch don't calibrate downwards far enough... annoying, now it's down to stick controls or the unfathomable: sitting a bit further upright...

So is the map rotation still just gonna be two maps, or do we not yet know?

What I'd like to know is, will everyone be forced to use a Splattershot Jr. in the Splatfest Premiere?

Looking forward to playing Splatoon 2 with split joycons. That setup really is satisfying.

Yup. Splatting tunes with split joycons joycon (plural) is gonna play like a dream. Just few years ago we were using that big ole gamepad to aim with lol. It worked but... let's just say split Joycon is gonna be a slight improvement. And we can actually play it on a portable now! Couldn't even do that on the gamepad before I don't think... and even if we could it was sub-HD and tethered anyways.

Suddenly remembering all the fun had back with the original game. What a rush. I was never that good but, it never stopped it from being fun!
