@Maxz also since I usually make mistakes... I hope I can give advice that is actually good and not what I normally do
For one thing, patience is key. Charging in with the rainmaker usually won't end well for you/your team.
You'll usually want at least 3 members of the enemy team to be down before moving forward.
If you are close to a lead or think you can get a good lead, sometimes it can be best to try and go for it.
Also keep an eye on openings and be aware of who is alive or not and where they are.
You will need to be with your team for a push and if carrying the rainmaker and you see an opening, go for it.
Oh and having good turf control is also very important

Yep. If I might also add to that, unless you're sooo close to winning or something like that, don't try to take the rainmaker unless you have some backup from your teammates. If not, then you risk getting splatted and then the opponents have the opportunity to gain a lot of ground. It might be tempting, but 2 heads is better than 1. Briefly imagines a 2 headed squid-kid
@Vee_Flames 🤔 Haha
Btw, want to do a league battle?
And anyone else for a quad?
Not much time left for the current rotation though
That or perhaps Salmon Run?
Actually... Splatfest is also starting soon I think. (For NA/AU/NZ at least, not sure on Europe times.)
Any NA ketchup squids want to join me?
About the Rainmaker as a weapon... while it certainly isn't wise to push forward with it alone against the enemy team, you can at least cause mayhem for them as your team regroups, with it's large blasts and decent fire rate. Also lob shots over walls as much as possible; it'll make the blasts harder to see coming.
Tried the Goo Tuber... I didn't find it as bad as people claimed. It certainly isn't that slow to charge compared to the regular charger (plus, it's partially charged shots seem unusually powerful). The lower range was a bit annoying, but still serviceable with suction bombs. The long charge hold works great in Port Mackerel's central area!
Thank you @ultraraichu for letting me know. I started to wonder after a few days as I was not receiving any new gear. I am only a level 4 and rising slowly as I have only played a few times. However, I plan on getting a lot of gameplay in this weekend. I also have Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl that need unboxing. Its an awesome game that Im enjoying. Thanks again.
I'm hoping for some help here. I'm new to, well, everything. I bought Splatoon 2 (card, not download) from ozgameshop in the UK, and live in Aus. Splatfest started here at 2pm Saturday. When i load the game, it shows the start time of Splatfest at 00:00 on Sunday morning. I change the time on the Switch to be Azores, which then makes the Splatfest start time be 2pm Saturday, but obviously my console still thinks it's on Azores time. I've tried changing the region to Europe, but again, no luck. I though the cards weren't region specific, but somehow this appears to be. Has anyone encountered this before and any ideas (and let me know if i'm in the wrong area!).
Thanks
Started out horrible tonight by losing my first 5 or 6 battles. Ended up on the positive side but there was some good competition tonight on both sides.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
My one advice for Rainmaker is do what I do immediately at the start of the match and cover any paths to your base and build up one use of your special before advancing.
Youll find a lot of eneny teams just go with all 4 players at the Rainmaker leaving an easy path to their base later
