@shani is that page with your rank in league battles from in game? I know you can view it on the app, but didn't see a share option.
Also unconfirmed means you haven't played any matches and I believe calibrating would be when in the middle of your first 7 matches. (Don't remember seeing that one myself, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention)
@Nicolai No problem, don't worry about it. @yokokazuo Yeah that was in-game, I just made a screenshot on the Switch and then posted it on Twitter.
Also made one from the 'unconfirmed' screen:
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!
@shani ah, guess unconfirmed is when you haven't played 7 games yet.
When does it say calibrating? I think it should say your league power after the seventh game
@yokokazuo Hm actually our team played way more than 7 matches, at least 15 according to the app. It also showed our League Power after most of the matches.
And I think after the last battle it said "calibration complete".
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!
@shani I'm not sure how much, as I played some single while traveling.
It's not too much though, but I rarely played turf war because the other modes are too much fun. That makes the grind to 10 long for me.
Today I noticed that, after winning some 10 matches in a row or so, you level up significantly which each victory. It might be that too, as I've been playing in very short bursts for now.
@yokokazuo Ok no problem. Looking forward to another NL session though!
@erv I totally get that. When I started the game, I couldn't bear waiting to unlock lvl4 for the stores, let alone lvl10 for ranked (also preferred rank in the original).
But if you are somewhat experienced, it doesn't take that long. As I mentioned there are a lot of newcomers, so it's quite easy to string together some wins and move up quickly (in ranked you can even skip ranks if you don't lose and even more if you win by KO).
If you find the time, just try to do a longer session and get it over with. Or think of it this way: You need money to buy gear and weapons anyway. Plus, you unlock a weapon with each lvl!
In the beginning I almost felt annoyed that I couldn't transfer my lvl and rank from the old game. But I gotta say, this run of games til lvl10 was quite delightful and actually refreshing, it felt a bit like the first days in Splatoon 1.
After testing Ink Armor out for a bit with my son, we found that it does generally break after one hit. However, it also tanks hits during deactivation, which is why you can hit an Ink Armored opponent with 3 hits or so from a Splattershot before hurting them. The first will break the armor and there is a pregnant pause where the player seems not able to be hurt. This makes it quite effective in close range engagements versus other rapid fire weapons.
The main mitigating factor is that there is also a pause upon activation, thankfully. So it can't function as an unholy method of nope-ing out of certain death, which was a major issue with both the Kraken and Bubbler.
Another thing I forgot to mention and still requires more testing is that it appears the Ink Armor halts your ability to heal while activated. Meaning any damage taken before will remain and only begin to heal after you lose the Ink Armor. Again, I haven't tested this aspect fully, but it seems pretty consistent across our play.
