Hmm anyone in the UK and who preordered from ShopTo not had their copy? My tracking seems to suggest it hasn't even been sent to Royal Mail... Despite getting the shipping notification on Wednesday morning. I really need to stop using this company and just stick with Amazon, paying the extra £5 or whatever it is they charge for games.

Ah good, the tracking has finally been updated. The bad news is it's coming tomorrow dammit and that's if there isn't further delay due to my local area having tons of postal staff off self isolating.
@msm2000 Same situation with me, I have an appointment tomorrow, so won't be in. It's a pain. Although I have doubts mine will come tomorrow even if it's supposed to, because all my post is coming late, apparently due to shortages of posties in my local area. Even today I have an item that is with my local office and is due to be delivered today, but I'm almost certain won't be.
I wonder if they sent copies out later than they actually said or if it's issues with Royal Mail (presumably due to Covid and workers self isolating).
Is it just me or were the motion controls on the Wii significantly better? There's a LOT of gyro drift here, it's almost like you end up having less control of the direction of your swings than you did in the original. Especially when you're taking multiple swipes as you do in combat. I distinctly remember the Wii motion controls in this game being pretty good.
Or maybe I'm just out of practice with motion controls

I haven't tried motion and won't til I get home later today, but I can't imagine it's worse.
I've played countless games on Switch with Gyro and while Gyro can drift slowly over time, it more affects games where you're using it as a pointer without the analog (Pikmin 3, Mario Galaxy). For just swiping, it should be fine. Just gotta learn proper technique, which has always been the number one hindrance for ppl with motion in my experience.
But, I'll test when I get home and see. I have tried Gyro for first person view on my Lite and it works flawlessly.

I don’t get some reviewers whining about camera control in button only mode. You don’t even need camera control in this game, you lock on to enemy’s to face them you don’t rotate the camera while you are fighting. I never thought the game was lacking for not having camera control when I played it a few times all the way through on Wii.
And really recalibration because of no sensor bar I don’t foresee being annoying. I find it freeing to not have to point at the tv and to be able to just press the calibrate button to center no matter where I am pointing
I can’t wait to start playing through after work. In my view I rank Zelda games based on boss fights dungeons and combat and puzzles and I think this is the pinnacle of the series. Blurring the line between dungeon and overworld is amazing and makes this the most engaging Zelda game in my opinion as it’s really the only game to do this. I also think this game has the best Zelda and character development and story and that cements it as my top Zelda game of all time. The silent realms are epic. I even enjoy collecting tadtones.
Got my copy! I haven't played this in at least 4 years. Gosh I just love this game! The music alone puts it above the mighty BOTW for me. I also like that it has real dungeons although they were scaled down in size compared to games that came before. Now we have the tiny shrines.
I hope BOTW 2 has more than 4 main dungeons because that's where Skyward sword has the advantage.

@Reprise yes mine is down now to arrive tomorrow from ShopTo. I used to use them a fair amount but stopped a while back as they dropped the ball a few times on orders I had. Not sure why I pre-ordered this from them, probably the only ones at that time with a steel book, I've got the joy cons and amiibo waiting, but no game. First world problems.
They say they give a £5 voucher of they miss release day, have you tried that?
@Chris77 ShopTo have dropped the ball a few times for me too (and just in the last 6 months or so). They used to be amazing and their customer service was top notch. Their website was updated a couple of years ago and they have been fairly ***** ever since. It seems like they had a change of management or something.
I was going to try the £5 thing a while ago, but if I remember right the conditions they set meant there wasn't any point in me doing it (something like a minimum price I wasn't going to meet and needing to use it within 28 days).
