@Dezzy ... What do you mean by tilting the screen away out of view? I would expect it to work like other games with gyro aiming. (Like Ocarina of Time on the 3DS, as mentioned)
My copy arrived a day early today (thanks Smyths!) but I'm still catching up on my gaming back backlog and want to have Rise of the Tomb Raider finished before I start it. Literally the definition of a first world problem.
Er yeah I haven't played that since launch, honestly can't remember how it worked. If there are games that make that work, then OK then. I assume it just makes it more sensitive so you don't have to turn it too much?
@Dezzy
Every game that uses Gyro in handheld I can think of requires ever so slight tilting, not nearly enough to tilt it out of view. We're talking 10, maybe 15 degrees max in any direction, if that.
Most provide sensitivity settings which let you customize it, but ya, dialing in the sensitivity is extremely important for Gyro, be it handheld or otherwise. Splatoon, Sniper Elite v2/3/4, Assassin's Creed Rebel Collection, Resident Evil 5/6/R1/R2, Doom/Eternal, Wolfenstein 2, etc etc.
If you don't have the correct sensitivity, you'll hate using Gyro. But if you find that sweet spot, it becomes a natural extention of your reflexes.
Check out this Aim Lab video showcasing a 1 minute test using a DualSense with Gyro. It's absolutely mind blowing how fast and accurate Gyro is. Even coming within a stone's throw of the almighty mouse, believe it or not (in fact, this score tops many mouse user scores)
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
Oh yeah I do remember it on OOT3D actually, because on the original 3DS model it would break the 3D effect when you tilted it, because that was only designed to work for a straight-on view. They then fixed that issue in the New3DS (although I'd stopped using the 3D by then).
Couple of hours in - the button controls take some getting used to. Holding down L to move the camera is a pain in the arse, as is the sword action of using the right stick. Hope this doesn't spoil the game .... or fark my controller.
@Tendo64 I ordered from Walmart to also get the key chain and a pair of zelda socks lol. Hoping it ships today for delivery tomorrow since I recently ordered. We'll see!
