Topic: Monster Hunter Rise

@JaxonH I had so many main back in world but long sword just clicked for me so I keep using it and with the knew training mode in rise you can go and practice you parying all day long.

Also all my other main back in world convert well into rise, like my duel blades I freaken love them in this game I just try'd them yesterday, then there hunting horn but I'm not that good at it bc I didn't stick with it for very long.

So yeah those MH amiibo seem to guarantee you always win the lottery, every time. I haven't once not gotten the grand prize whenever I scan them.

Finally starting to look at the Switchaxe. The Narga Switchaxe and Hammer (and I'm assuming almost all Narga weapons) have CRAZY affinity. I'm gonna try and make a crit build and hope I get lucky with the random melding and get something with really good affinity boost and slots.

Speaking of the talismans, apparently the REALLY good talismans are exclusive to just randomly appearing in the random meld you unlock for completing the story. You'll never get them by requesting the skill.

Actually, you win every time regardless, it’s just random what tier it is. I’ve gotten jackpots, bingos, and normal prize winnings. I’ve been using them every day for 2 weeks. Sounds like you’ve just gotten really lucky. Then again. Bingos are basically the common prize in that lottery. I feel like I get bingos and jackpots 75% of the time. I’m still waiting for the special prize you can supposedly win by entering during a sale. But no luck yet.

It’s super fun, right?! I was just reading up on splitting wyvernshot because I haven’t actually used it. I thought the 45 degree angle ground dragonator was it, it turns out that’s just a different kind of dragonator. The splitting wyvernshot is that Manhattan Project nuclear blast shown in the trailer. I don’t know where the lever for it is located, which is what I was trying to research but none of the guides mention where.

But ya. Rampage is crazy fun. I never knew a tower defense gameplay mechanic could work so well in MH, but as it turns out, it’s easily the most fun tower defense I’ve ever played.

so can any one tell me how to use the switch axe I have been hunting with it for a bit but I still get hit alot any tips?

@JaxonH Does the text change between Bingo and Jackpot? I don't think I paid specific attention to that. I only noticed that I always won what was in the preview when I used the MonHun amiibo.

@VoidofLight There's a lot more monsters with choppable tails than just the World ones. Narga, Tigrex, Rathian, Rathalos and Royal Ludroth for example can all have their tails chopped.

@TeeJay Is there a way to see if you can cut a tail like in world?

Okay, fought one of the final bosses or whatever, obviously not gonna bother talking about that one much (better than Xeno for me, at least, lol)....But Rakna-Kadaki, I joked how this monster seemed even worse than Nerscylla when it came to scaring me but figured it wouldn't be that bad....I WAS WRONG. Holy crap, I only carted once but there were tons of times where I was about to die, like, constantly. She's a nightmare. xD

...Also some of her attacks were giving me Agnaktor vibes, lol

@Snatcher Not that I know of aside just attempting it, or seeing it get chopped off in multiplayer or something. You just kind of learn these things with experience playing.

@Ulysses Rampage is only fun if you have people to play with, bc I hated it before but after playing with people I really really in joyed it.

Wait, so High rank armor looks different from the low rank armor designs?

Sometimes, finding a good online hub with randoms is a nightmare... They are either all afk, all playing a non joinable quest, or take sooo long bsing around before a hunt.

And why does no one like the good ole round robin pick lobbies? I can never find them and people rarely join whenever I make them.

I imagine the influx of new players with World and Rise means more of what you just described, and so the vets predominantly stick to their clans (either real life friends or others from a fan site they frequent, like people here) and that just results in even fewer randoms who follow the old code.

Online etiquette in general needs reform. It’s gotten so much worse since the 4th Gen. Of course, that’s the price we pay for the series’ booming popularity.

....Sooo, why is Rajang easier in this game? He gave me a hard time and it took me about 35 minutes to take him out. I don't even know why people are saying this is easier than World in general. World's high rank barely gave me issues and was still a breeze. Rise's high rank though, holy crap...

@Ulysses someone said that the low rank armor looked silly, which made me wonder if there's higher ranked versions with different designs.

@Joeynator3000 I personally found Rajang a lot more manageable here than in previous games.

Could be because I had evade extender +2 though. It's pretty much all you need to get away from those quick jumping and lunging attacks where you don't have time to put your weapon away.

I dunno, in past games he wasn't all that bad...only other time I had issues was in 4U's g-rank as well as Furious (and Apex Rajang, lol). But other than that, yeah...but people told me he was super easy in this generations. Didn't seem like it to me. >.<

I have not got to rajing but I just saw the due walking around so I had him attack the Rathain and My god he was crazy LOL He went super sayian on her.
I have been busy with other thing so I have yet to get on and play mhr today, but I think I will have lots of time in the next three hours.

I faced some of the Level 4 monster quests, and it's definitely getting a bit harder. The world monsters so far still feel like pushovers though. It's also weird how now, you're able to cut off tails, but you aren't in the earlier quests. At first I thought they didn't have the blood effect in World because you could cut off the monster's body parts, and it would've upped the age rating, but Rise does the same thing with the blood effects.

Yeah a lot of the monsters in World kinda just...I dunno it felt like I just used the Gunlance to poke them a few times and they die. lol

Like I said earlier about Diablos, in World it felt like I was fighting his grandma or something. xD
